The Journey September 20 - November 30 2018

11/30/2018. The husband & I ventured out to Costco & TJ's.  I scored two more of the winter joggers that I love on sale at Costco for only $9 πŸ˜‰.
I also updated the FF web site & counseled a friend on their job situation.  I'm feeling quite well today.  I didn't take a nap, but did go to bed early.
11/29/2018. Today the effects of the infusion hit me.  I woke up with a headache & just a general overall malaise.  I reviewed & edited a resume for a friend of mine & then the husband & I took a jaunt over to the Home Depot.  We bought lots of great things!
Afterwards, I had a nice nap.
My Swarovski crystal order arrived, & I inventoried it.  I have enough supplies for at least 30 more angels!
Then the husband & I made Normandy vegetables with tofu πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.

11/28/2018. Although I'm feeling fine after the infusion, I took it easy today.  I updated the FF web site & made one angel.  Here are four recent ones  My friend is going to see if some of these will sell at the charity Christmas tree lot.  If so, the charity will keep all the proceeds.

I also took care of a small business matter.
11/27/2018.  Today was my infusion of Reclast at Stanford.  I've been dreading it, but it went surprisingly well.  The husband accompanied me.  It was actually 3 hours from the time we left the house to the time we arrived home.  I brought along my IPAD and watched recorded TV shows.
11/26/2018. I had a lovely walk today with my neighbor.  I loved the autumn color of this tree against the interesting sky.

I also took care of some business matters, & made a decision to do my Reclast infusion tomorrow. I made one angel & wrote the accompanying cards.  These angels are being made for charity.  I updated the FF web site.
11/25/2018.  I shopped at TJ's this am to get some much needed food.
My spiritual mentor came over for a talk & a walk.  She loves our Christmas tree.  She says I need either another one or a bigger one because it is so packed with ornaments.  These are ornaments I've collected over much of my life.  Many of the ornaments are angels.
This is a lovely mosaic dedicated to teachers we found on the wall of a nearby school.  The trees are showing their awesome autumn colors.

I repaired a few of the ornaments from my Christmas tree. One of the repairs was very tricky, requiring some drilling.  The repair came out surprisingly well!  I also made two angels & ordered more Swarovski supplies. I finished watering all the indoor plants & did two loads of clothes.  I also finished the table clearing project πŸ‘πŸ‘.  The husband is pleased.
11/24/2018.  Today, I rolled the fully decorated Christmas tree out of the garage & plugged it in.  It is so beautiful πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„!   I wanted to get it up in time for my friend to see it tomorrow.  It makes me sad that all of my lovely & cherished seasonal decor is in the garage.
11/23/2018. Our wonderful house  cleaners came today.  They brought 4 people and cleaned our home in no time flat. I also watered some of the plants & began the process of clearing out the table.  That is going to take a while.
11/22/2018.  Happy Thanksgiving!  πŸπŸ‚πŸŒ»  I was sad today because I was remembering my Mom & Dad and the many years they hosted Thanksgiving Day in their garage for 40 family members.  We had a ruckus time followed by an even more ruckus Scavenger hunt, complete with prizes (of course, although competition was heated, everyone got a prize!)
My neighbor, my husband, & I went for a very nice Thanksgiving Day walk.
I also visited a friend who needed a consult on a hardwood floor installation, sanding, & sealing.
11/21/2018.  I went to Costco early this morning to purchase a few items.  It was the day before Thanksgiving & thankfully, the crowds had not yet arrived πŸ‘.  I had a great time walking around & buying things that were not on my list.  Of course, we got the annual Costco (organic) pumpkin pie πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.
The air here is clear of smoke for the first time in 11 days & we received some much needed rain.  I felt very happy as I was cruising through Costco.
I had another too long nap.  I also created our Thanksgiving greeting, with help from the husband & sent it out.  It always takes me a few hours to do this.
11/20/2018.  I had to do a return at Wal-Mart so I got there early again.  No problem at all.  I enjoyed walking around & looking at the Christmas decor for sale.
Today is supposed to be the last day of smoke-filled air.
My heart is so sad for all those folks in Paradise who lost their homes, & in some cases, their friends & family members.
In the afternoon, I had a nice nap, then organized & sent out the pictures from our SF Bay trip.
11/19/2018.  I shopped at Wal-mart & TJ's.  The stores & the parking lots were not too crowded, although the crowds are definitely above normal.  I picked up an on-line order from Wal-mart, so EZ-PZ πŸ‘πŸ‘.   While in Wal-mart I ran into an acquaintance from my Silver Sneakers class & we had a great chat catching up.  We talked about each of our health situations & I shared with her what a fabulous experience I've had with Stanford doctors.  She is such a sweet person.  I definitely rested after that excursion & unpacking all the new acquisitions & food.  It is so nice to be able to run a few errands to help out our family!
My sister read a lovely thank you card to me that her friend Joan's daughter sent.  Joan is the one who passed away very unexpectedly a few months ago.  I made angels for each of her family members.
11/18/2018.  My dear friend from church & dancing visited today.  We discussed Reverend Riley’s homily about gratitude.  He suggests looking beyond a simple list & stating how the thing we are grateful for changed us.  I like that a lot.
She & her husband just returned from Arizona where the air is clean.
We are still having “unhealthy” air due to the Camp Wildfire in Paradise, Ca.
I finished the books today, filed everything, & washed clothes.
My cold πŸ₯Ά is much better πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘!  I’m very grateful for that because it means I feel more energetic!
11/17/2018. I watered all my indoor & outdoor plants today.  Because the air quality is so unhealthy outside, I did it as fast as I could.
Later, the husband & I shopped at Costco & got him a new IPAD that was on sale for an excellent price.  The Costco parking lot was full.  We literally had to wait until someone backed out of their space to park!
The husband made Normandy vegetables & tofu.  They were delicious πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!

This evening I began all my filing & books.  I’m almost done!
11/16/2018. I ordered the  Christmas πŸŽ„ tree cover today.  I’ve been studying it for a while.  I called the vendor & got my final questions answered.
The husband made hash browns with tofu & spinach.  It was the best ever! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Today was my father’s 104th birthday. Happy birthday, beloved father πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚πŸŽˆπŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ’₯🎁!
11/15/2018. I updated the FF web site today with minor updates. I also did more research on the cover for my decorated Christmas tree πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„.  I'm almost ready to order.
11/14/2018. I updated the FF web site today.  I did a bit of research for my husband on Apple laptops today.
11/13/2018.  I rested more than I intended to today.  I also shopped both at TJ's & Whole Foods.  I had a consult with my mentor on the FF web site & fixed the sliders & I also updated the site with a few changed items for December.  I washed clothes this evening.  I'm enjoying the blooms on my little Sorrel plant.  It was given to me as a St. Patrick's day present.  It has the most interesting habit of closing it's leaves at night.  It was good company for me when I was in the Terraces convalescing.

11/12/2018.  I rested again today.  The air quality continues to be in the "unhealthy" range.
11/11/2018.  I rested again today, did some wash, & helped my sister with some computer items.  I updated the FF site too.  The husband cooked Normandy vegetables with tofu that were delicious πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!
11/10/2018.  I felt better today.  The air quality continues to be "unhealthy" (official terms).  Briefly this morning I got outside & watered all the outdoor plants.  Our wonderful housecleaners came too.  I also updated the FF site.
11/09/2018.  I am still sick with a cold & again spent most of the day resting.
11/08/2018.  I am officially sick with a cold πŸ€§πŸ€§πŸ€§.  Made a few calls today checking on products & a few business calls.  Other than that, I rested.
11/07/2018.  Today, I have a serious sore throat.  Again, I think it is due to the paint fumes and the dust from the sanding.
I visited my wonderful hairdresser today.  Afterwards, I went directly to bed because of the sore throat.  The husband also has a scratchy throat.
11/06/2018.  Election day!  I studied all the candidates & issues, filled out my ballot, then walked over to our voting place & deposited it.  And here is our huge collection of campaign brochures we received !πŸ˜’

Our great repair person came tonight and finished all our items.  Unfortunately, I have a very raw throat from the door being opened a few nights ago & all the sanding & pain smell.  It's always the ying & yang of it all ➕➖ πŸ€”!
11/05/2018.  I handled some business in the morning.  My dear cousin called & it was delightful to catch up with her.
Our great repair person came, together we shopped for paint, and he worked for several hours.
I had a lovely walk around the hood with my neighbor.
I did a physical inventory of my Swarovski components and got a large order ready.  This will keep me well stocked for the next few months.  My new ring arrived ... more on that tomorrow.
I received this beautiful ring yesterday.  It is bright & sparkly, & with my favorite shape "faux diamond", a heart!  I put in on my nightstand so I could admire it.
I also thought about it a lot.  Beyond having our basic needs, a much more important need is friendship & having loved ones, & the small things around us such as seeing a tiny lizard scampering about, having a houseplant in bloom, etc.

11/04/2018. I attended church for the first time since my accident in June, 2017.  It was great to see everyone there.  My friend from church & dancing took me to visit her other friend & we had a nice walk around the block in the lovely neighborhood.  We stopped by our house to get her stocked up on pineapple guavas, then walked around downtown Los Altos.  We saw some lovely plantings of succulents & cacti.
I washed clothes &  made two Swarovski angels.

11/03/2018. The spousal unit & I shopped at both Trader Joes & Costco.  At Trader Joes, I stocked up on dark chocolate orange candy.   I also looked at some laptops at Costco for the niece.  I bought lots of fun things at Costco that were on sale πŸ’²πŸ’²πŸ’².  Unfortunately, I still didn't walk long enough to get in my miles.
11/02/2018. Our business associates are taking us on a cruise out in San Francisco bay tonight.  I spent much of the day getting ready for it.
Update ....The cruise was just awesome.  The weather was absolutely perfect, a clear beautiful sunset and evening, with the bay water as smooth as glass.

11/01/2018. I talked to the wife of a dear friend today & caught up on everything.  Her husband & my friend passed several years ago.  They had been married for over 60 years, so it has been very challenging to recover from this loss.  It turns out that we both have one of the same doctors at Stanford.
I also watered all the indoor & outdoor plants to clear the deck for the event tomorrow.
10/31/2018.  Happy Halloween πŸ‘»πŸ§™‍♀️!  I got up early (for me) today for my bone density test at Stanford.  It was easy peasy (ie no infusions, no 1 1/2 hour closed MRIs, etc). On the way home, I picked up a few supplies at Trader Joes & found a bakery that had delicious sour dough mini-baguettes πŸ˜‹!
I returned later for my appointment with the awesome Bone endocrinologist, Dr. Sellmeyer.  She determined that I am at relatively high risk for fractures in the next 10 years so she is recommending another round of Reclast.  That is an infusion.
She moved to the Hoover building which is the original Stanford hospital.  I told her that there were rumors that it was haunted πŸ‘»πŸ‘»πŸ‘»!  She said so far there have been no paranormal occurrences!
It was a beautiful day today & the campus is gorgeous, although perpetually under construction.

Stanford, note the huge construction crane.

Beautiful trees in bloom at Stanford
10/30/2018.  Today started slow, but I stepped things up.  I watered all the outside plants, ran over to Ross for a return, contacted several neighbors to give away more pineapple guavas, prepared two bags of pineapple guavas, & washed clothes. I then prepared for my two appointments at Stanford tomorrow.
10/29/2018. My long time friend from work visited today. We had a lovely walk & found more spooky things in the hood.  Yes, that is him posing in the graveyard πŸ˜‚!

Later the husband took me for another walk. I also spent some time today updating the First Friday website & had a nap. Tomorrow I must get busy on my long to do list!
10/28/2018.  The husband took me for a lovely walk today.  It's a spooky time in the hood.

We also saw the Chinese Pistache trees turning colors.

My wonderful friend from dance came over.  I also uploaded some computer programs,  did a load of laundry, & rested today.
Annie LuLu made herself quite comfortable!

10/27/2018.  We watched this little guy  basking in the sunshine.

The husband & I took several boxes to the local free shredding & electronics event, then shopped at Costco.   It's a spooky time in the Hood.  Dead (& posing) folks in the dry river stream, etc.
I had a nice, late afternoon walk with my neighbor.
10/26/2018.  It's my first day back.  Our wonderful cleaning people came today.  I had a nap.  My longtime friend stopped by and we had a lovely walk.  This home in our neighborhood had a very interesting Halloween display.  Notice the person crushed under the hay bail!
I also watered all the indoor & outdoor plants.  The husband did a great job while I was on my mini-vacation so there wasn't a whole lot to do!

10/25/2018. Today was the end of my lovely trip with my family.  My sister & I took Taz for a quick walk & spotted the illegal turkeys (not approved by the home owners association.)  My wonderful driver took me home.  I got everything unpacked & washed clothes.

10/24/2018.  I had lots of walks today.  Here we are the the local park watching many geese.  There are also random scenes of the stream & a flower.

This street is known for it's Halloween decor.  On Halloween, the entire street is closed & it is a Trick or Treater's paradise.

We caught a gorgeous sunset.
10/23/2018.  I helped my sister download photos to her computer so she can prepare a photo book of a recent trip.  I also did a bit more tweaking of the wedding pictures.
The sister & I shopped at a nearby shopping plaza.  I'm having a custom piece made at one of the stores there.  We made a few purchases & visited Whole Foods!   I loved this art exhibit at the plaza.
My niece gave me a pile of great clothes.  I tried all of them on & my sister helped me decide which ones to keep.  I will not have to buy any more clothes for at least a year πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘!
10/22/2018.  I got up early & had a wonderful nature walk with my brother-in-law.  We spotted two river otters!  My brother-in-law sees them only once a year!

I had a long nap this afternoon!   Afterwards, I downloaded and organized all the pictures from the wedding.  In the process, I discovered I had the wrong version of Photoshop Elements installed, so I uninstalled that & installed the correct one.  I sent the pictures out to family & friends.
I watched some recordings on my IPAD in the evening.
10/21/2018.  We were all so tired after that wonderful wedding that we all slept in today.  I didn't get up until 11 am!  I told my brother-in-law that I would not be walking with him today!  I walked over to visit my niece and the 3 grands (nephew, niece, & Taz, the dog).  It was so great to see everyone.  It has been 17 months since I've been here.
My sister & brother-in-law took me to see "A Star is Born".  The movie, starring Lady Gaga &  Bradley Cooper was wonderful.  I highly recommend it.  The theater had lovely reclining seats too!
Afterwards, we shopped at the Nugget Market.  They are an awesome place to shop.
Then we went to visit the niece and the 3 grands (nephew, niece, & Taz, the dog) again.
10/20/2018.  My brother-in-law took me for a long walk this am.  We walked our usual path, but of course it took me a lot longer to do the walk than it did before the accident.

Later we attended the wedding of my 3rd cousin at the Wine & Roses winery in Lodi, Ca.  It was a spectacular wedding.  The guests were greeted with a fabulous Mariachi band in the outside patio while hors d'oeuves were passed out.  Then all the guests moved into a beautiful dining room for a sit down dinner.
The bride & groom dancing their 1st dance as a married couple.
I had three pieces of cake & they were all delicious  πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!
They had a photo booth where guests could dress up in wild attire & have their pictures taken. the pictures were printed out instantly! There was a great DJ & I danced, with my cane.  It was also so great to catch up with many of our relatives.
I tucked one of my Swarovski angels into the card that I gave the bride & groom.
10/19/2018.  I hired a limousine, El Dorado Express to drive me from my home to my sisters home.  The driver, who is the owner of the company, was just awesome.  It was so nice to get to my sister's house & to not be tired.
I had a long lovely nap and visited with my sister & brother-in-law.  Later, we met up with the niece, the great niece, and the great nephew at Steve's pizza.  They have a wonderful salad bar & breadsticks.
The niece was horrified.  We ran into her friend's family & of course I had to carefully examine the husband's tatoos πŸ˜„!

10/18/2018.  I got up washed my hair & applied make up.  Today is my DMV appointment for my "realID" card.  This is my 3rd visit there, so I triple checked all my paperwork.  MISSION SUCCESS!!!!!!!  It only took me an hour to complete the process.
I also shopped at Sprouts & did some banking.  I watered all my outside plants again, just to make sure they were well irrigated before I left.
10/17/2018.  I finished up with all the paperwork, watered all the inside & outside plants, & began preparing for my trip.
In the evening, I accompanied my lovely dance friend to our Square Dance club.  It was so wonderful to see all my friends again, after 17 months of absence.  I danced with the club to the line dance "Elvira".  My round dance partner & I did a round dance together.  It was magical to be able to dance again!

10/16/2018.  Our great repair person came by & finished 3 of the projects already.  Today I completely concentrated on my projects.  By the end of the day, I was almost finished.  This was paperwork clean-up & filing.
The husband prepared this great meal of Normandy vegetables & hash browns with tofuπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!
10/15/2018. I ended today in a so bad mood.  I allowed myself to get distracted by many things:  handing out Pineapple Guavas, switching a hose, etc.  Then, a wonderful repair person that we had contacted several weeks ago showed up to start the repairs unexpectedly.....big distraction to get him all set up.  He left around 9:00 pm.

Then, I settled down to watch my favorite recorded shows, & the Comcast playback wasn't working πŸ˜©πŸ˜ .  So I just gave up.
10/14/2018. I decided to remove Outlook & rebuild it.  It now seems to be working. The husband took me to lunch at Hobee's.  I had my favorite:  Hobee's Tofu Scramble πŸ˜‹.  There was plenty for me to take home too!   Later that day we went to a walk in the neighborhood with our wonderful neighbor.

This is a picture of flowers from the school garden.

After reading a lot of articles about Outlook problems, I decided to archive a lot of old messages. That was scary.  I made several "DO NOT DELETE" backups of the data!

10/13/2018. The husband took me out for an adventure to explore a new plaza. There is a lighted "dancing water" feature that kids can run in!

Of course, I talked him into letting me visit the doggies at the nearby dog 🐢🐢🐢park.

Today was Joan's funeral.  My sister delivered the Swarovski angels πŸ˜‡ to her husband, their 3 children, & the "Coffee Ladies" group.  One of her children said that Joan decorated her tree with Swarovski ornaments.  I figured out that was why I needed to make them.
I worked on Outlook again.  In spite of multiple tries, no luck.
10/12/2018. I just discovered that my Outlook is not working properly.  I read every blog out there about the problem & tried many solutions.  I've tried several rebuilds.   We are giving away our abundance of pineapple guavas.

10/11/2018.  I went to Walmart as soon as I got up to pick up the decaf coffee.  Who knew that is would be so hard to find?  I also had a nap & updated the financial files.  Both packages arrived at my sister's & she's in the process of preparing them for delivery.

10/10/2018.  I had my hair done today.  I just love going there, it is so relaxing.  II shopped at Whole Foods & found "Grillo's Pickles πŸ₯’"  We discovered them first at Costco &  Costco is no longer carrying them.
The computer display is still not the way I want it.  I spent a lot of time attempting to fine tune it & so far have not succeeded.
10/9/2018. I went back to the post office to mail the ribbons & corrected note cards to my sister.  I had some delicious coffee & another Dutch Crunch roll at Le Boulanger.
I still haven't picked up the phone to get a professional organizer to re-organize my craft room.
I completed two on-line orders and shopping excursions to Wal-Mart & TJ's.
The package that I sent via UPS yesterday already arrived at my sister's place.  That was fast  πŸš€!
One of our neighbors picked up a large load of pineapple guavas.  I also ate some of them πŸ˜‹.
10/8/2018.  I completed 4 more angels today & sent off eleven to my sister for distribution to various people.  After that, I sat in Le Boulanger with decaf coffee & my favorite Dutch Crunch roll πŸ₯–.

I was in a real rush to get these mailed & as a result, I forgot to attach the pretty ribbons.  I prepared a package with these & with all 11 note cards redone which I will send tomorrow.  It reminded me of this: "If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?"
I updated the inventory of my Swarovski angel supplies & cleaned up my crafts room.
10/7/2018. My lovely friend came over for a visit.  She amazes me with her wisdom.  She reviewed the sermon from church today.  As she says, we've heard these guidelines many times, & we need to keep hearing them.
  • Be one with life
  • We live in an expanding universe
  • Be accountable for our consciousness
  • Be focused, have purpose verses being on autopilot
  • Be in the flow of giving & receiving:  align our thoughts, words, & actions with God.  The baggage in our minds, our “BS” (belief system) are like rocks in a stream.  Go around them, but GO!  Experience something else, move forward.  Are we sitting & vegging or growing?
  • Be passionate!  Do things out of love, not fear, under the guidance of goals.  Clear our thoughts, minds, grudges.  Practice forgiveness.   We can’t do anything about the past. Release that which no longer serves us, including physical clutter.  There is the baggage in my head, such as “it’s really hard to do something vs “I’m getting better, this is working out”  I’m in the flow of I don’t know, but God does  Do a great job, even if it’s a job I don’t like!
I talked to her about clearing out the craft room & decided that I'm going to engage a personal organizer.  She passed on this piece of wisdom:  "If you can fix it with money, it's not a problem!"
I washed clothes, cleaned out our grungy dish rack, & helped the husband pick oranges.  I also watered all the outside plants.

My wonderful neighbor & I had a lovely walk!We have a LOT of Pineapple Guavas.  This represents 1/8th of what we have sitting on our counter! We will distribute them to the neighbors.

10/6/2018.   I watered all the indoor plants.  The husband & I shopped both at TJ's & Costco.  I also washed clothes, backed up my newly rebuilt computer & this blog!
I also updated my Quicken notes with some valuable tips I got from the on-line chat.
I mentioned to my husband that I'm going to organize my craft room & he seemed dubious.
10/5/2018. The wonderful cleaners were here today.   I brought all of the PT & OT staff  at the Terraces angels, & Sees candy lollipops (they are a real hit).

I also visited skilled nursing & brought them Sees lollipops too.  I was so very happy to see everyone & to thank them again for all they had done for me.  They were very happy to see me walking so well.  I walked up & down the stairs, about a story & 1/2.  I went back a second time to bring Pudja some figs and pineapple guavas.
I'm continuing to work on the restoration of  programs & files!
10/4/2018. The computer is now blazingly πŸš€ fast with the new SSD 1 TB drive πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. The husband & I had a wonderful walk & saw this unusual blooming succulent!
This afternoon I had a short nap.I spent until 4 am on the computer restoration.  It is getting there.  I loaded most of the files & configured many of the programs.  Microsoft Office took many hours to configure properly.  It would be easier if I were not so bonded to that program!
10/3/2018.  I did not sleep well last night worrying about restoring the computer & restoring the blog.  The window & PV cleaners arrived at 8 am.
I picked up my computer around 11 am & am restoring it now.  ClickAway did their usual outstanding job & I now have a new Solid State hard drive with 1TB!
The window cleaners left after about 7 non-stop hours.  They are just outstanding.  They cleaned all the PV panels, blew off the roof & upstairs balcony, cleaned the skylights, windows, window screens, & window sills.  After that I had a nice nap!
As I write this, the computer restore is underway & I've managed to recover most of the blog!  Thank you backups!
10/2/2018. The husband & I had a nice walk & saw these unusual succulents in bloom.

The pineapple guavas are prolific & so yummyπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.

I took the laptop πŸ’» to ClickAway today.  They ran diagnostics & discovered the hard drive failed 😒. They’ve already replaced the drive with a 1 TB solid state drive (SSD) & are loading some of my software.  I’ll pick it up tomorrow & finish the restore process.  This will give me some time to select a replacement.
I also stopped off at Le Boulanger to get more of my favorite Dutch Crunch rollsπŸ˜‹.

Oh & I lost about 11 days of this blog, but I believe it is part of my recent backup.
Our friends visited this afternoon with some exciting news. More about that later.
10/1/2018. I mostly fooled around with the laptop today & was unsuccessful in making any progress.  Tomorrow it goes to Clickaway!
Meanwhile I got laptop configurations & prices from HP, Dell, & Apple.  The price is higher than I expected 😲!
9/30/2018. My friend visited today & as usual we had a great time. I also watered all the indoor & outdoor plants, & did the laundry. The husband & I worked on his stained shower glass with no improvement.
I’m getting ready to take all the angels to the Physival & Occupational Therapists at the  Terraces. I was preparing the gift cards when I discovered that my laptop πŸ’» would not
boot 😲😲!
9/29/2018. The husband & I went for a walk.    I shopped at the Costume Bank which is closing & visited my friends who live downtown.  My friend broke her toe and is now in a "walking plank"😒.  She & I went back to the Costume Bank to look for some more items.
The husband & I also shopped at Costco. I walked over 3 miles.

9/28/2018. My friend also came over so I could finish her necklace.  We are both very pleased with the results.  I took some of the leftover beads & fashioned a earring.  She likes it so I will complete the pair when I get some time.
Shopped at Trader Joe's today.
9/27/2018.  The FF sliders have completely disappeared.  I called my contact for help.
9/26/2018.  The husband made stir fry hash browns & tofu πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹!

I updated the FF web site & added sliders.
9/25/2018.  Went to the post office today to mail 2 packages, one I mailed to my ex-husband containing documents that I found among my Mother's belongings.  Of course, I had to stop at Le Boulanger to get some of my favorite Dutch Crunch rolls!
9/24/2018.  I received a call from a long time ago friend with whom I've not spoken in years.  We had a chance to catch up. Then some folks came by to give us an estimate on cleaning the windows & Photovoltaic panels & our great cleaners came today!
I worked on getting some FF pictures together.  Our FF web site is down 😟.
9/23/2018. My wonderful friend from dancing & church visited today. We had a lovely walk! She amazes me. Not only is she wise & practical, but her & her husband are busy about every night of the week! A lot of their activities are charitable ones such as visiting me, driving others to doctor appointments, etc. They are two angels on earth πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡.
I finally got all of my indoor plants watered & a few of the outside ones.
I had a lovely (too long) nap & the husband & I made a tofu, beans, and spinach dish πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ .

9/22/2018. Spent most of the day today re-organizing the blog. I taught myself how to do it watching YouTube videos & reading instructions. It did take a while to get it completed. There's probably more re-organization to come.
Also washed several loads of clothes & made arrangements for some home repairs πŸ”¨πŸ”§.
9/21/2018. I had a wonderful lunch with my girlfriend today at Hobees in San Jose. This restaurant is right near where we both used to work. As I was driving there, I was shocked at how much the area has changed. All the trees have grown up & it's been 10 years since I last worked there.
My girlfriend & I talked for at least three hours! I would say we covered all topics well!
I also drove through my former workplace.
Afterwards, the husband & I got our annual flu shots πŸ’‰πŸ’‰!

At the clinic there is this wonderful 2 story Chihuly art installation donated by Edward Dowd.
