12/31/2019. I completed all the end of the year business actions. The husband & I had a nice walk, we did some receipts, & I had a nap. Then we attended a wonderful party at my friend's home. The food was awesome & they had two great games, including a white elephant gift exchange.
12/30/2019. I got my hair done yesterday & shopped at Sally's Beauty. The husband & I had a long conversation with his sister. I had a facetime conversation with my sister & a long nap. In the evening I did not sleep well at all. I watched a movie until 4:00 am 😩🙁!
12/29/2019. I returned some Amazon products & Kohls then shopped there. I found an awesome pair of skiing gloves there for only $8.50. It will be one of the gifts at the White Elephant / New Year's Eve party. I also shopped at Sally's, Joann's, and Trader Joes. I got in 5K steps today. I visited my spiritual mentor & friend & looked at her new carpet. She also gave me a consult that I requested. I got some wonderful Dutch Crunch bread at the downtown Italian deli. The husband & I watched the 49ers game & it was a nail biter, but they won. I finished all of the end of the year business actions except for one.
12/28/2019. I made my friend a Happy Birthday e-card & e-mailed it. I watered all the inside plants. The husband & I shopped at Costco. I had a ravenous appetite, for some reason. I did a load of laundry & I cleared up all the e-mail that accumulated over the holidays.
12/27/2019. I started on the end of the year business actions and competed about half of them. I napped. The husband & I went to Conrro Taqueria to get him a burrito. Then I got ready for and went to square dancing in Santa Clara with Katydids. There were 8 squares this evening and 3 callers. It was really fun.
12/26/2019. We had an early breakfast. I went to the White House Black Market to return a top. We packed and left about 11:30 am & arrived home at 2:00. We stopped for gas on the way. Traffic was very light. The husband & I went for a nice long neighborhood walk. I watered the outside & a few inside plants, washed clothes, & some what unpacked. It was great to be home to see Annie LuLu 😻😻😻💕💕!
12/25/2019. Merry Christmas 🎄🌟✨! The husband & I went down for a small breakfast. Then I drove him over to the niece's house for her breakfast. We returned a bit later to open the gifts. The we went back to the hotel & napped & returned for a wonderful dinner. In the evening the niece, the nephew, the great niece & great nephew, the husband & I played a fun game. I way overate .... handmade from scratch German Chocolate cake, the niece's diva frosted cookies, olive bread, & more.
12/24/2019. The husband & I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel. There was this absolutely wonderful breakfast attendee who was there last year & is amazingly helpful. She is an example of whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability. Then the niece picked me up for shopping. We went to the Folsom outlets & Ifound a blouse at the Gap. We then went over to the Palladio to shop at White House Black Market & I found 3 things. One is a very sparkly, tight "jeggings". We got ready to attend the big White Elephant party at my sister's. I wore my new sparkly jeggings & got a lot of complements on how well I looked. The party was wonderful. However, my sister told me later that she didn't enjoy it because it was so much work.
12/23/2019. I got up early and packed. I realized I ordered the wrong Sally Beauty hair product. I called our local store & they had it in stock 👍👍👍. We left at 11:30 am, stopped to pick up the hair product. I told the shop keeper that she saved Christmas!
We checked into our hotel, the husband napped, & I had a long walk around the Palladio, shopped at Whole Foods & checked out the dress stores. Then we went over to my sister & brother in laws for salad & a pizza dinner.
12/22/2019. I loaded all the presents into boxes, responded to the Christmas greeting letter replies, and attended the round dance party. It was great fun. When I got home, I organized my suitcase, getting it ready to pack in the morning.
12/21/2019. I sent out our Christmas greeting letter. I shopped at TJ's at 8 am to buy some more candy. I ran out of my favorite dark chocolate oranges. I watered the indoor & outdoor plants, planted the 3 new cyclamen I purchased, washed clothes, napped, wrapped 18 presents, & cleaned up my e-mail. Whew!
12/20/2019. I went to the Sees candy store when it opened to purchase a 2 pound box of Sees Candy for Christmas. Also shopped at Joann's, Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Target, & back to Target looking for Christmas cards 🎄❄️☃️🎅🤶 . The good news is I got in 5000 steps. The poor kitty had lots of hairballs, so the husband & I spent some time cleaning it up. I used Folex on all the spots & steam cleaned also. I updated the FF web site.
12/19/2019. Today I saw the expert sinus doctor. Unfortunately, the prednisone did not do the job & surgery is necessary 😧😧😧! Afterwards, I stopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond in Redwood City, but they don't carry toiletries. I also filled up at Costco, then shopped at BB&B in Mountain View. I did some banking, shopped at CVS, & bought Mexican food at LaSalsa home for the husband & I. It was very delicious 😋😋😋.
Our wondeful cleaners came, I napped, worked on some end of the year items, and downloaded some pictures to my computer. I updated the FF Web site.
12/18/2019. I shopped at Walmart, TJ’s, & Joann’s mainly for supplies. I got ready for & danced at club last night. I had a great time, & danced every tip! When I got home, I washed clothes. The prednisone really stimulates my appetite. So far my weight is up 4 pounds🤪🤪🤪! I also updated the FF web site.
12/17/2019. Today is our tax planning meeting. I made 3 angels this am before our meeting for the CPA, his daughter & his grand daughter.
I’ve given them angels for many years. She sent me this picture of her angel on her Christmas tree.
The CPA seemed unusually distracted. Afterwards, the husband and I went to the downtown Los Altos Italian deli where he got a sandwich & I got bread. Afterwards, I napped.
12/16/2019. I shopped at Costco, Sprouts, & TJ's. I also worked on my financial report. I converted a file for my husband.
12/15/2019. I washed clothes, watered plants & attended round dance class with my partner. I also made an angel for our round dance teachers.
12/14/2019. The husband & I attended the cookie party at our friend's house. We had a great time! Later, I attended a dance in Santa Clara. It was great fun. I also chatted with Dell today regarding my new computer order.
12/13/2019. I prepared & scanned in a form for our project
12/12/2019. The new computer arrived today. I simply put it in the craft room until I have time to address it. I worked on getting the 2019 financial data organized. 12/11/2019. I prepared & sent off a document needed for our project. The husband & I rolled in the Christmas tree & plugged it in! EZ-PZ! The hard part was moving the console table to make way for the Christmas tree. I made an angel for someone at the club and gave it to her tonight. Club was great fun. I set up a special account also.
12/10/2019. I paid all the property taxes. I almost forgot that today was the due date! I also worked on the end of year tax project.
12/09/2019. I got my hair done today. This was a 5 hour process because I had red strips put in. Later, I shopped at TJ's. I prepared & sent out the new class flyer for posting on our dance club's web site. I booked us in a hotel for our Christmas trip. Unfortunately, I could not get the hotel I wanted. Next year I will book it in August.

12/08/2019. I scanned in & send off a set of interesting newspaper clippings for my cousin-in-law's historical project. That wraps everything up.
12/07/2019. I attended a Board Meeting for our square dance club. I'm the new class publicity chairperson. I attended a very fun dance tonight at El Camino Reelers.
12/06/2019. Our wonderful cleaner's came today. Later, I attended FF in the rain. It was very well attended there were great activities. I took pictures, put them together, & already sent them off.
12/05/2019. I got up early & visited Dr Vaughan, the expert sinus doctor. Unfortunately, the office was unable to read the CD. I had to trek to Los Gatos to have them cut a new CD, which I drove back to Dr. Vaughan. They were able to get this one to work. He is putting me on prednisone to see if that will decrease the inflammation. The doctor said that there is a 60% chance it will work. On the way home, I stopped at Costco for gas. I also stopped at the Los Altos Veterinary Clinic to pick up Annie LuLu's mouth medicine. On the very good news side, Annie's tests are perfect, so she is a very healthy kitty.
Fortunately, the husband picked up the prednisone prescription for me because I was exhausted. I organized a lot of historical pictures & files for my cousin-in-law & sent them all off.
12/04/2019. Annie LuLu had a sore on her mouth. I was very fortunate to get her in at the Los Altos Veterinary Clinic. She was seen by a wonderful doctor. All is well. The vet took all her blood & urine tests & we will know the results tomorrow. She is not concerned about the sore on Annie's lip. I attended club tonight.
12/03/2019. Today I had a Reclast infusion at Stanford. I'm very grateful that the husband came with me. I did fine, but it's a bit scary.
12/02/2019. I stopped at PAMF to pick up the CD that I will need on Thursday for the sinus doctor. I also shopped at the Home Depot, TJ's, & Costco. I installed some wire mesh gutter debris catchers, just purchased at HD, over all my sprinkler valves. After all that, I napped. I ordered my computer today so I could take advantage of the Black Friday prices.
12/01/2019. I went to urgent care this morning to see if I had cracked a rib. They took an x-ray & I only have a pulled muscle. Whew 😌😌😌! Later, I attended round dancing class with my dancing partner. We are doing very well.
11/30/2019. I drove to SEA today to fly home. The husband picked me up. Unfortunately, I leaned over the console in his car and pulled a muscle in my rib. More on that tomorrow.
11/29/2019. I drove my nephew to Seattle. We had a wonderful time. We had coffee at a fabulous Seattle coffee, visited the Seattle waterfront, took him to Ivars, a special place for clam chowder & rode the Seattle great wheel at Pier 57. Later, I dropped by my brother in law's brother's & sister-in-laws house for more partying! They are such wonderful folks.
11/28/2019. Happy Thanksgiving 🌽🍁🍂! I got up had a nice breakfast & shower, and then joined the large gathering for Thanksgiving dinner. Our host had the house beautifully decorated. There was more food than you can imagine & lots of desserts too.
11/27/2019. I checked out of the hotel & drove out to Firwood Farm Alpacas for another visit. The farm is so magical! I was able to spend a few hours there and then I drove my friend (brother-in-laws sister-in-law) to the party in Seattle. I then checked into my hotel in Woodinville & had a nap! Later, the whole family arrived & we had a fabulous pre-Thanksgiving dinner, with lots of food, friends, and camaraderie. I feel so lucky to have been invited to be a part of this wonderful gathering.
11/26/2019. I flew into Seattle today to celebrate Thanksgiving 🍁🌽. My plane left at 7:15 am so I was basically up all night. I had a Lyft driver take me to the airport. I checked into my hotel then shopped at Wal-Mart in Puyallup. I then had a lovely nap. In the evening, we headed over to Firwood Alpaca Farms to visit the alpacas. My brother-in-law's brother & his wife had a lovely dinner made for us. I gave the cousin one of my angels. I had a wonderful time visiting the alpacas. I also shopped at the fabulous alpaca shop.
11/25/2019. I sent out the Happy Thanksgiving messages & received lots of nice responses. It is a great way to keep in touch.
11/24/2019. I finished the repair of the sprinkler system. Fortunately I was able to reuse an old solenoid to replace the one the squirrels 🐿 chewed. Everything is working👍👍👍. I also covered all the solenoids with vaseline, hot pepper, & peppermint for deterrents. I watered the outside plants & did 2 loads of clothes.
Our neighbor brought over a delicious 😋😋😋 smoothie for each of us made with our pineapple guavas & other things. I practiced round dancing & attended class. It was quite fun! I updated the FF web site & made cards for recipients of the 3 angels.
11/23/2019. I watered the inside plants & updated the FF web site. I printed out my travel documents. I also worked on the flyer for the new square dance 💃🏻 class in January. I then replaced the leaking valve on the sprinkler system. I struggled with it, because I was not installing the quick connect system correctly. Then I discovered that squirrels 🐿 had been knawing on the solenoids of another valve & the ground wire was completely disconnected. At this point, it was getting dark so I shut this repair down until tomorrow. I also gave my neighbor more pineapple guavas. I did research on how to discourage them & also found a mesh cover in my garage for protection.
11/22/2019. I prepared 5 angels kits 😇for my friend & 4 angel kits for me to make. I also sent over some holiday pictures for FF. I had a blood draw at Stanford in preparation for my Reclast infusion. I also prepared, submitted, & FAXed a form to PAMF to get the CD of my CT scan. My long time friend dropped by with a dog she is dog sitting & we took the little beauty for a walk. I then met my friend & Pete's Coffee to instruct her on how to make and angel. We each made one. I stopped at Esther's German Bakery and got a delicious pretzel 🥨. The husband & I had a lovely dinner at Harry's Hofbrau in Redwood City. I updated the FF website & made 2 more angels 😇 to take with me on my trip.
11/21/2019. We met with the Landscape folks this am. The plans are coming along very nicely!
Later, I met with a square dancing person who briefed me on my new duties as Publicity for the new class square dancing.
My radio loses power when the power cord is jiggled. I did research & found a replacement plug & ordered it. Then I used blue painter's tape to tape the cord to the dresser so it won't move.
I met with an expert at Click Away to discuss computer options. The person who helped me also works at Intel & tests software. He has 10 computers (maybe more) running, so he is THE expert. We decided on a Dell XPS for me.
My big Rings 'N Things order arrived. I inventoried it to make sure all the pieces were there & then started to make kits for my friend & I. However, my head really hurt so I crashed leaving lights on everywhere.
11/20/2019. I ordered pet food for Annie LuLu. I also contacted THE expert on Sinuses, filled out the new patient form (1 1/2 hours 😧), called the office to make sure they got it & made an appointment. I on-line chatted with Dell to help me configure a new computer. Support for Windows 7 will end in January, next year. I watered the outside plants.
I prepared a box of pineapple guavas for the square dance peeps.
I square danced & round danced in the evening. It was great fun. I updated the FF web site.
11/19/2019. I had an early morning appointment for a CT scan at PAMF. I shopped at the Dollar Tree, got gas at Sunnyvale Costco & shopped there too.
11/18/2019. I had my hair done today including a hair cut 💇🏻♀️ (Only 1/2 hours ), then shopped at Walmart, TJ’s, CVS, & Sprouts. I also updated the FF website, & did some banking. I helped the sister with a computer situation.
11/17/2019. The husband & I had a nice walk today. I FaceTimed with my sister & watered 💦💦💦 my outdoor plants. I practiced round dancing 💃🏻 & took a lesson with my partner tonight. We are doing well 👍👍👍! I didn’t take any Musinex today & my headache 🤕 came back. Our neighbors finally captured little Charlie yesterday 🐶🐶🐶👍👍👍!
11/16/2019. Happy birthday Dad in heaven 😇🙏🙏! I made a lovely collage for him. The neighbor’s dog, Charlie, escaped again .... the 1st place she runs is into our back yard. The neighbor & I were unable to catch her. She actually hops on all fours like a gazelle & is very fast, quite comical to watch! I accompanied my neighbor around the neighborhood & we located her in several places, but were unable to capture her. 😂😂😂. I discovered my neighbor loves pineapple guavas so I gave her a nice box 📦 of them.
I still have a headache. I got up at 3 am to take some Musinex & it is helping. I also placed a big order on Rings ‘n Things. I washed two loads of clothes. It is very hard to get things done when I’m not feeling well 🤕🤕🤕🙁!
11/15/2019. I watered 💦💦💦 the inside & outside plants. I picked up the stack of plants that I dug out the day before. I also tested all the sprinkler lines & discovered that one of my soaker hoses has a hole in it. Unfortunately it is behind the blackberry bushes & quite unreachable. I also signed us up for our prescription drug plan for 2020. I helped the husband with his web site problem & updated the FF web site.
11/14/2019. Our cleaners came today & the house looks wonderful! Before they come, we run around & straighten things up. I gave them some pineapple guavas & gave a big box to another friend. I shopped at Whole Foods to look for a ginger oil essence, but did not find one. I also shopped at TJ’s. I discovered one of my sprinkler heads had been chewed on & was spewing water 💦 💦💦 everywhere. This particular system is on for an hour, so that may account for our very high water bills 💸💸💸! I replaced the head & dug out some plants that were blocking the water from reaching the tree.
11/13/2019. I shopped at Whole Foods & bought a peppermint oil essence for my headache. I prepared a big box of pineapple guavas & brought them to square dancing 💃🏻. There are folks there that are big fans. I gave myself a B for dancing.
11/12/2019. I had a nice conversation with my friend who received the osteoporosis diagnosis. She said our conversation helped her. I’ve had the diagnosis for so many years that it Is not upsetting to me.
I went to the Doctor 👨🏻⚕️ for my headache 🤕🤕🤕, then to Costco to shop & pick up a prescription for Flonase. I very quickly made an angel 😇 for my cousin & his family. We met him at Chef Chu’s 🥢🥡🥠 for dinner. We had a wonderful visit! He is from out of state & we hadn’t seen him in 4 years. Then he came over to see my husband’s book collection, it’s actually a library 📚 ! His wife is a published writer.
11/11/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk around the ‘hood. I sent out a Veteran’s Day greeting to my veteran friends. I also did some research for a friend who was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis. I discovered that a brand new medication was approved in April, Evenity.
11/10/2019. I visited my friends to give my opinion on carpets. They are replacing all their carpets. I also picked up some day old bread 🥖 for me & a sandwich 🥪 & pickles for my husband at the downtown Italian deli.
11/09/2019. I watered the inside & outside plants. I also trimmed up some of the front plants. I washed two loads of clothes & napped. I continued to shop for sweat shirts.
11/08/2019. Happy Birthday Mom, in heaven 😇🙏🙏! I made a nice card for her & posted it. I also talked to the expert at Mission Trail, regarding recycling. Jack, the expert there, wants us to continue with our recycling habits even thought there's currently no market for some of the plastics. He believes the market will come back.
The husband & I shopped at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, & Costco. That was fun! The husband brought me to the local deli for some delicious olive bread 🥖😋😋😋. Then I returned to Costco to pick up 2 heated throws that are now on sale 👍👍👍💰! They only last a year & I cannot be without one. I also ordered the husband another heating pad. They were the "Deal of the Day" and were $10 off 💰👍👍👍!
I shopped for sweat shirts on line. I desperately need new ones.
11/07/2019. I made appointments for our end of the year tax appointment & for my reclast infusion. The husband decided to light the fireplace. That led to a major project: cleaning the glass & surrounds, both very dirty. Then I discovered that the batteries had leaked both in the received & the controller. I cleaned all the battery acid up with baking soda. I then discovered that our replacement AAA batteries had all leaked 😵🤪! I collected all the batteries & put them out with the trash & recycling per the instructions.
11/06/2019. I had an appointment to have a bone density test & an appointment with the wonderful bone endocrinologist, Dr. Sellmeyer, She was very pleased because my results show significant improvement. I collected more pineapple guavas for square dance tonight. I square danced & round danced with my partner. I gave myself an A- for both dances 🕺💃! My round dance partner also thought we did very well/1
11/05/2019. The husband & I had a nice walk. I got my 5k steps in today. I also talked to him about a resentment I have against a particular person. He helped me to understand that perhaps there was another angle 😃👍! I washed my new patterned socks 🧦 & put together 2 months of cc receipts.
11/04/2019. I got up early & met my hiking friends 👫. We walked at Rancho San Antonio for 5 miles, then had coffee ☕️ at Peet’s. It was wonderful to see them all again! We have such a ruckus time together! I shopped at TJ’s, then had a long nap 😴😴😴.
11/03/2019. I watered all the outside plants today & practiced round dancing. I then attended round dance class. It was great 👍 except for an embarrassing 😳 incident (again). I reminded myself that I did the best that I can do!

11/01/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came today. I watered all my indoor & outdoor plants, updated the FF web site, & took pictures at FF. I'm so not happy with the pictures. I've not liked this camera 📸 since I've bought it. Maybe it's time for the new iphone 📱with the great camera.
10/31/2019. Happy Halloween 🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻 ! I had lunch at Hobees with my long time friend. The husband & I had a phone appointment with his sister, I shopped at Costco for Halloween candy, & we are ready for trick-or-treaters.
10/30/2019. I shopped at CVS & Sprouts to by treats for the Halloween dance tonight. I danced tonight at Rockin Jockers in my new witches's outfit! The place was packed & the costumes were awesome. My round dance partner & I round danced too. We did well! Look at this incredible pumpkin carved by one of the square dancers!
I updated the FF web site & posted some Halloween pictures from the "hood. Lots of frightfully big spiders, dead bodies, and skeletons everywhere!
10/29/2019. I called Sirius radio to discuss our annual renewal fee. The agent was able to get me an excellent price. I watered some of the inside & all of the outside plants. My niece had surgery today. Everything turned out exceptionally well & we are very grateful!
10/28/2019. I saw my wonderful hairdresser today & shopped at TJ's. I also had a nap. I also updated the FF web site. My friend had surgery today. I checked in with her & she is doing OK. I also ordered some needed items today from Artbeads.
My husband made his signature dish again this evening!
10/27/2019. I attended round dance class with my partner. We are in beginning 2 step class & it's lots of fun. I had an embarrassing incident at class😳!
10/26/2019. Updated the FF site several times today. The husband & I dropped off the shredding & then shopped at Costco.
I got ready for the dance at El Camino Reelers in my vampire outfit. I did not feel like I danced will, but I had fun!

10/24/2019. The husband & I had a nice walk around the 'hood to collect pictures for Halloween. I got some great ones (see Halloween posting. We also saw these gorgeous roses including one from our garden!
10/23/2019. I took some pictures for the landscaper today. I also got the name of an eye surgeon for the husband. I prepared pineapple guavas to bring to club tonight.
I danced with the club tonight in my "hippie" costume. There were very nice costumes there. I also brought a large amount of pineapple guavas & a special supply to a dancer who loves them.
10/22/2019. I had a great lunch up at Harry's Hofbrau with a group of folks from work. I also shopped at Costco & napped. Otherwise, not very productive.
10/21/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk today. We saw beautiful roses along the way & met some of our neighbors by asking to pet their wonderful doggies 🐶! Later, I shopped at TJ's. In the afternoon, we got our flu shots & I spent the rest of the day in bed recovering 😂😂😂!
10/20/2019. I visited my friend today to give her opinions on her carpet selection. She is recarpeting her entire home. I also stopped off at the Italian deli for some day old bread & to get the husband a "Godfather" sandwich & pickle.
10/19/2019. We saw a bunny today! The husband recognized this bunny because it has an orange patch around it's neck.
The husband & I had dinner at Harry's Hofbrau. It was Saturday night & the place was packed.
10/18/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came today. As usual, the husband & I had to straighten things up before they came. Actually, the house was in pretty good shape. They are cleaning parts of our refrigerator each time too.
I watered all the indoor plants, had a nice nap, & washed 2 loads of clothes. I updated the FF web site for November.
10/17/2019. I returned an item at TJ's & shopped, put some protection over my new ginger sprouts, & watered outdoor plants. I've also ordered my name tag swinger, which I want printed in large letters. I also sent out pictures to another class mate.
Then I attended this new square & round dance class that is very fast. Although I was tired, I did surprisingly well!
10/16/2019. I shopped at TJ's & studied square dancing. I prepared a huge box of pineapple guavas to bring. I was nervous about square dancing, but I did just fine & all the pineapple guavas were taken!
10/15/2019. I got up early this morning for me to go to the Worker Center for a worker. I had a wonderful worker who cleaned off all the sticky cocoons left behind by the Tussock moths, cleaned up all the apple litter under our trees, and finished the weeding under our trees. At $20 an hour plus tip, this was a bargain!
I also shopped & did some banking. Later in the afternoon I napped, finished the high school reunion pictures & sent them out. The husband made us a great tofu dish.
I also repaired my friend's bracelet & angel pendant.
10/14/2019. The husband & I had a walk this am. This person has an interesting way of keeping passerbys from stealing his persimmons by writing dire warnings on the fruit!

Our pineapple guava bushes are loaded. We've already given away a few bags. I still have my headache 🤕🤕🤕& took some more Imitrex this evening.
10/13/2019. My lovely friend, square dance buddy, and spiritual adviser visited today. I gave her some pineapple guavas. She gave me some jewelry to restring, & I'm in the process of doing that.
I'm also working on the pictures I took at the class reunion. Most of them require more light.
Later, I attended round dancing class with my round dancing partner. When I got home, I ate, & fell into bed.
10/12/2019. I FaceTimed with my sister this am. still have my headache 🤕 🤕🤕! Imitrex isn’t even cutting it. The husband went to the book sale & bought several books 📚 on his list 👍. The husband made stir fry tofu with spinach, garbanzo & kidney beans. I was his sous chef 👩🏻🍳 (ie I cut up the tofu & opened & drained the 2 cans of beans 😃. The meal was delicious 😋.
I watered some outdoor plants & deep watered 💦 the redwood, plum, & fig trees. The sprinkler valve itself is leaking ... I have to determine if I want to replace it before the new landscaping is done.
I also washed 2 loads of clothes & finally unpacked my suitcase 🧳 ! A headache is so debilitating.
10/11/2019. I watered 💦 the inside plants & some of the outdoor ones too. I also swapped out a piece of my sprinkler valve to see if I could stop the leak. I’ll know tomorrow. I returned my Amazon item at Kohl’s, shopped at Sally’s Beauty, & returned something at WM & shopped there too, but bought nothing. I still have a headache 🤕 & I napped 😴today.
10/10/2019. I shopped at TJ’s & WM. I still have my headache. I also changed out a
part of my sprinkler valve that was leaking badly. Hopefully that will stop the leak. The two ginger plant starts that the bunnies 🐰🐰🐰 ate are now sprouting again 👍👍👍!
10/09/2019. I got an appointment with Dr. Souvignier for my headache & cold. The husband took me 👍👍👍. The Dr. determined that I was not contagious 😷 but had a sinus infection for which he prescribed antibiotics 💊💊💊. The husband & I had lunch at In ‘n Out Burger 🍔. I love their French Fries 🍟😋. Then we shopped at Costco & filled my 2 prescriptions 💊💊💊. I FT’d with my sister in the evening. She spent 8 hours at Kaiser emergency 🚨 with the niece. The niece has been in terrible pain for days now f the same thing has happened over the past few months. The Dr. determined that the niece has 3 kidney stones. They administered several doses of morphine & sent her home with strong pain meds. It took 3 Dr. visits to get to the root of this issue.

10/07/2019. My sister & I packed up before our 11 am checkout time & drive home. I stopped for gas ⛽️ at Costco in Gilroy. It’s been so long since I was there I somehow thought it was in the other side of Hwy 152. I know I’m feeling unwell because I missed the Hwy 280 turnoff. When I got home, I napped.

10/03/2019. The husband & I met with the landscapers today & I also got my hair done this afternoon.
Afterwards, I shopped at Kohl's & Target to find a black skirt. I finally found one at a Salvation Army resell shop in downtown Los Altos. The skirt is quite nice, washable, & inexpensive.
10/02/2019. Today the husband & I reviewed some large, complex documents for our project. I prepared them for mailing 📬. I also wrote some checks for the great, new fence installed in the back of Pelton. I talked to my sister, had a nap 😴, & updated the FF web site 💻. I still have my cold 🥶 😕.
10/01/2019. Today we got up early to be at the DMV in Redwood City when it opened. The husband took his drivers license written test 📓. He passed 🥳🏆. So he can drive again 🚗🚗🚗! Meanwhile I filled up my car at Costco ⛽️ & shopped there a bit. I napped, talked to my sister, watered the outside plants, deep watered some trees 🌲, washed 🧺 some new clothes. I still have my cold 🥶🤧.
09/30/2019. I still have my cold 🥶🤧😢! I slept in & updated the FF site. It was very challenging because the side bar was not working properly .... ie when clicking on the logo it was supposed to link over to the sponsor’s page & it did not. It took a lot of investigation to figure this one out. Then I updated the past events & somehow removed an item from a drop down menu .... again more digging thru the web to figure out how to fix it. It’s done ✅.

09/27/2019. I had a scratchy throat today. It went to Stanford for my once every 3 month blood draw. I’m hoping that I didn’t catch Randy’s cold 🥶!
09/26/2019. Found the information for our Class Reunion 👩🎓 & will send in the check. After some correspondence with the FF web site manager, I was finally able to log into the FF web site & complete all the October updates 👍👍👍! I updated our financials also. I talked to the person who is the current club treasurer & it doesn't sound like a job I want.
09/25/2019. I shopped at TJ's & Sprouts to buy some treats for the club. I attempted to update the FF site ..... couldn't log in. I watered all the outdoor plants 🌱🌺, napped & studied square dance moves. I picked figs & apples and attended the club dance. It was great fun. I was also asked to be the Treasurer! Yikes.
09/24/2019. I bought tickets for my sister & I for the Il Volo concert on 03-09-2020. This will be our 5th concert & I'm very excited!
I shopped at Costco & BB&B to pick up a few things. The husband & I got his new backup disk installed .... EZ PZ! I organized all the pictures from our square dance promotion party & sent them off.
09/23/2019. I signed the contract with our landscaper & sent it off. I attended square dance class tonight for the completion ceremony! Us class folks planned a great surprise for the attendees & it went off well! The club had a few surprises for us too & this beautiful cake!

09/22/2019. The sister & brother-in-law left early this morning. I watered the outdoor plants. I met my cousins in downtown Los Altos at the annual Corvette shows. It's one of the largest shows out west. There was a Corvette there worth over $1M. Later, I attended round dancing class with my partner. He hurt his hip, & I have a strained muscle in my side: what a pair! Round dance class, 2 step, was great fun!
09/21/2019. The brother-in-law installed the new Ring doorbell & I programmed it! I like it a lot. I also gave my wonderful neighbor a ride to a private wedding 👰🏻 🤵🏻because there was limited parking. I finished watering my outdoor plants.
Later, the sister, brother-in-law, & I had a wonderful dinner at Chef Chus🍚🥠🥢🥡. It was fabulous. The husband is still feeling 🤧 unwell so we brought him his favorite dish. I did a few computer 💻 chores, washed the dishes, & washed a load of clothes 👖👕.
09/20/2019. The sister & brother-in-law arrived. They brought me this amazing bouquet of roses!
I also had the cleaners here because we skipped a few weeks ago. I watered the downstairs plants 🌱 . After the cleaning 🧹🧼🧽 folks left we had naps 😴! We ate dinner at home, had a tour of the yard, & relaxed 😌. The husband still feels unwell from his cold 🤧🤧🤧. I washed the dishes & watered some outside plants 🌱. I deep watered the fig & redwood tree 🌲. I also washed the cleaning supplies.

09/18/2019. I took my car 🚗 in to be washed 🧼 & strained a muscle in my side that really hurts. I also shopped at TJ's, Wal-mart, & Sprouts. I picked apples & figs for the club. I went square dancing 💃🏻 with the club & did fine.
09/17/2019. I helped the husband troubleshoot his backup disk and concluded it failed. I shopped at Costco today & among other purchases I bought him a new backup disk.
09/16/2019. The husband woke up with an excruciating 😖 headache 🤕. I gave him & Imitrex tablet & it went away. I went for my last walk along the sea 🌊 & it was lovely! We packed & got to the airport early. Unfortunately, I left my cane in the rental car 🚗 shuttle. I sat at the drop off point for a long time hoping to find the bus 🚌 that had it, unsuccessfully. The plane ✈️ trip home was uneventful. Here’s a list of all the challenges we had on the trip:
Lyft driver on way to airport turned around & looked at us when he talked to us, making the husband very nervous 😬.
TSA agent pointed out that the husband’s drivers license expired today, his birthday 🎂!

When I unpacked I discovered that I had only 1 pair of 👖 pants!
We went off to the local Costco to buy my pants 👖 & the husband ended up with Ruffles & Costco pizza 🍕 for his birthday 🎁 dinner!
We parked a long way from the Midway exhibit when there was plenty of parking nearby.
We visited the San Diego Zoo Animal 🦒🐘🦍🦏🐪🦛 park & the temperature hit 102☀️☀️☀️!
The husband wanted to watch the 49ers game 🏈 & it wasn’t broadcast in San Diego!
The husband came down with a horrible cold 🥶
I left my cane on the rental car 🚗 shuttle bus. I waited by the bus drop off point for an hour hoping to find the cane. It got to the point that I was seeing the same drivers & finally had to leave because out flight was leaving ! I also left one of my special pin hangers in the hotel room! I discovered this when I unpacked at home.
All that said ... we loved our room & the view, ate well, had some fabulous walks 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♂️& enjoyed spending time together 💕!
When we got home, I watered some plants 🌱, showered, somewhat unpacked 🧳 & went to square dance class. I’ve been invited to join the club so that is very exciting!
09/15/2019. I attended my friend's celebration of life service in Fallbrook. It was lovely & of course very sad. When I got back, I discovered the husband had a horrific cold 🤧🤧🤧😟. He dispatched me to the 24 hour drug store to get him some Nyquil. I also filled up the car with gas ⛽ to prepare for turning in the rental car.
09/14/2019. We visited the San Diego Wild Animal Park 🦁🦒🦏🐅🦓🦍🦧🦛🦘🐏🐐🐃🐆 near Escondido. It was great, but it was 102🥵🥵🥵! We saw lots of animals!
09/13/2019. Today we walked around a bit and visited the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. I've been there before but I love it!
09/12/2019. I got up at 4:30 am to finish packing for San Diego. We left for San Diego: see above for all the problems we had 🤪🙃! Because the husband could not drive, it was up to me. The rental car was fine. We couldn't get into our hotel room, so we went out to lunch at a great restaurant Persian restaurant, the Luna Grill. Once we unpacked, we napped, then shopped at Costco & TJ's in San Diego to stock up (see list of problems above for those stories)!
09/11/2019. I partially packed in preparation for our trip, studied the square dance calls, picked apples & figs, & went to square dancing tonight. Folks at the club love the apples & figs.
09/10/2019. I found a birthday card for the husband 🎂🎁🎈 & also my favorite decaf coffee on sale at CVS pharmacy. The birthday card search usually requires a search through several stores, so this was great. I also stopped at Sprouts to get some treats for the club. I prepared the to do list & check for our wonderful friend who will take care of Annie LuLu.

09/08/2019. I drove home today, stopped for gas. There was no traffic. I round danced this evening.
09/07/2019. After the big party, we rested. I shopped at the Nugget & got my very favorite quinoa salad. I got to see little Missy at a soccer game & that was great fun. In the evening, my sister & brother in law attended a wedding. I begged to go with them, but no dice. I visited my great niece & nephew, and the nephew's friends, two wonderful twin boys. We took Tazzy for a walk, petted the guinea pigs, & I got to see all their fish.
09/05/2019. My good friend & I had lunch at Hobees today. As usual it was delicious. She also said that I must attend my sister & brother-in-laws 50th anniversary celebration.

08/31/2019. The husband saw 2 bunnies 🐰 in our yard. It looked like a bunny chewed one of the ginger sprouts. I put some protection around it. I watered the redwood, fig, plum, & clematis plants. The husband & I went to Costco & I returned 4 pairs of jogging pants 👖 & bought 2 in the brand that fits me well. I also washed clothes. I rested then went square dancing. I’m still not doing one call properly, “cross-fire”. I know the call, I’m just not executing it right IRT.
I also ate too many cookies at the dance tonight & some of the BBQ chips on the way home! As I was preparing to go to sleep, I saw that the label maker I’ve been studying dropped $8 in price. I ordered it & another item for which I clipped a $4 coupon! SCORE!!!
08/30/2019. The landscapers came today at 10 am to measure. Then 4 folks arrived to clean the house. All the commotion made me 🥴 dizzy, but the house looks great. I watered all the inside & outside plants 🌱 & washed the cleaning articles the cleaners used. I also updated the FF web site.
08/29/2019. I made all the reservations for our trip to San Diego. It will be a nice vacation & we both love San Diego. My long time friend visited today & we picked her a lot of apples & figs. I updated the FF web site again & washed a load of clothes. I also backed up my blog & my computer for the first time in 2 months!
08/28/2019. I updated the FF web site. I also studied three square dance moves. I picked a box full of apples from our yard to bring to the club this evening to go along with other treats. Very sadly, we found a bunny that had been killed in our yard 🐇. I put a warning on our neighborhood web site that there are predators in the area. We were very worried about a kitty, Tito, that visits us. His Mom let me know that she hadn't seen him in a few days. Fortunately, he showed up at home 😌. Also, the 4 ginger plant cuttings that my cousin gave me are all sprouting!

08/26/2019. I got up early to pick figs & apples to give to my friends. I met them for a hike at 8:00 am, yikes. I also did some banking & shopped at TJ's. In the afternoon the husband noticed that there was a lot of water gushing from the neighbor next door. I got my other neighbor to come over with me to tell them about it. Later I went dancing. Because I was so tired, I did not feel like I danced very well.
08/25/2019. I met my partner for round dancing this evening. It was a lot of fun. I placed an order for some hair gel.
08/24/2019. I reached out to my other friend about the San Diego trip. We are both going to attend a Celebration of Life for our mutual friend's wife. She passed away only 6 weeks after she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer 😢. They have been together since they were both teenagers & have been married for over 50 years. It is a huge loss for my friend. I also washed clothes. I watered the indoor & outdoor plants.
08/23/2019. I had a wonderful lunch at Chef Chu's with my long time friend from work. It was great to catch up. She is very sad over the loss of her amazing dog, Mattie. She did everything medically possible to save Mattie with three expensive procedures. The outcome was very sad. Later she came over so I could give her some lovely jade & amethyst beads my other friend gave away.
I went to a square dance tonight to get in some more practice. It was fun. The caller was a different caller than I expected.
08/22/2019. We met the repair person over at the husband's condo & he installed the new faucet for the sink very quickly. Afterwards, we shopped at Costco. We also got a nice meal at "In and Out" burger 🍟😋!

08/17/2019. We had a long visit with the husband’s sister & then I napped. I watered the outside plants, watched all the plus videos, & square danced 💃🏻 for 3 hours. I did average for me. I updated the landscaping sheet again & sent it off to our landscaper.
08/16/2019. The cleaning 🧹 🧼 folks came today & the house looks great. I watered all the indoor plants 🌱, went to my hairdresser, shopped at Sally’s beauty & Wal-Mart, & picked up a burrito 🌯 for the husband at his favorite Mexican taqueria. I really like the new leave in conditioner from Sally’s beauty. Then I had a nap😴 . I also washed the supplies used by the cleaning folks. I updated the landscaping sheet.
08/15/2019. I watered the outside plants. It’s very hot 🥵 today. I also used the special product & drill scrubber attachment to clean all the water spots from the husband’s shower 🚿 glass. I don’t think there’s any improvement & by using a higher grit cleaning attachment, I scratched the glass. Sometimes there’s success & sometimes there isn’t 🤪!
8/14/2019. II met with our landscaper this morning & reviewed what we want done. I watered all the outdoor plants again because it’s very hot 🥵 again. I also danced with the club & did fine. My round dance partner & I danced every round dance & we did really well 💃🏻🕺🏼!

08/11/2019. I went over to my spiritual advisor’s home to help her sort through her jewelry. It was great fun. I took quite a few pieces home that need to be repaired. Later, I attended 2 step round dance lessons with my partner, & we had fun!
08/10/2019. I attended square dance 💃🏻 practice class today & felt like I did really awful. I’m ready to quit! Later the husband & I attempted to meet up with my friend & his wife. Unfortunately, we weren’t clear about the coffee ☕️ venue, & we went to one place, they went to another 😧😧😧! The husband picked lots of fresh apples 🍎 🍏 so we dropped the bag off at their home. My friend left his phone at home so I couldn’t reach him to clarify the place. The husband & I shopped @ TJ’s. I felt bad about this because I was really looking forward to out coffee ☕️ date 😢😢😢.

We had a great time. I had a nice nap 😴 & washed another load of clothes. The husband & I worked on removing the hard water stains from his shower. It is better, but they are quite embedded in the glass. I cleaned up computer files, watered all the indoor plants 🌱 & finished watering the outside ones. I also deep watered the redwood 🌲 tree, the fig tree, & the clematis vine.
07/26/2019. I finally got the ginger rhizomes planted & watered most of our outside plants. I had a hair appointment today & picked up a few more things at TJ’s. I washed a load of clothes.
07/25/2019. I called Moen & they are going to send us a replacement part for the shower head 🚿. I fertilized the orange 🍊 tree & watered outside.Then I went over to a person I met at square dancing to show her how to make Swarovski angels. I made one too & we had a great time. She loves her little angel 😇! I shopped at Wal-mart & Trader Joe’s.
12/30/2019. I got my hair done yesterday & shopped at Sally's Beauty. The husband & I had a long conversation with his sister. I had a facetime conversation with my sister & a long nap. In the evening I did not sleep well at all. I watched a movie until 4:00 am 😩🙁!
12/29/2019. I returned some Amazon products & Kohls then shopped there. I found an awesome pair of skiing gloves there for only $8.50. It will be one of the gifts at the White Elephant / New Year's Eve party. I also shopped at Sally's, Joann's, and Trader Joes. I got in 5K steps today. I visited my spiritual mentor & friend & looked at her new carpet. She also gave me a consult that I requested. I got some wonderful Dutch Crunch bread at the downtown Italian deli. The husband & I watched the 49ers game & it was a nail biter, but they won. I finished all of the end of the year business actions except for one.
12/28/2019. I made my friend a Happy Birthday e-card & e-mailed it. I watered all the inside plants. The husband & I shopped at Costco. I had a ravenous appetite, for some reason. I did a load of laundry & I cleared up all the e-mail that accumulated over the holidays.
12/27/2019. I started on the end of the year business actions and competed about half of them. I napped. The husband & I went to Conrro Taqueria to get him a burrito. Then I got ready for and went to square dancing in Santa Clara with Katydids. There were 8 squares this evening and 3 callers. It was really fun.
12/26/2019. We had an early breakfast. I went to the White House Black Market to return a top. We packed and left about 11:30 am & arrived home at 2:00. We stopped for gas on the way. Traffic was very light. The husband & I went for a nice long neighborhood walk. I watered the outside & a few inside plants, washed clothes, & some what unpacked. It was great to be home to see Annie LuLu 😻😻😻💕💕!
12/25/2019. Merry Christmas 🎄🌟✨! The husband & I went down for a small breakfast. Then I drove him over to the niece's house for her breakfast. We returned a bit later to open the gifts. The we went back to the hotel & napped & returned for a wonderful dinner. In the evening the niece, the nephew, the great niece & great nephew, the husband & I played a fun game. I way overate .... handmade from scratch German Chocolate cake, the niece's diva frosted cookies, olive bread, & more.
12/24/2019. The husband & I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel. There was this absolutely wonderful breakfast attendee who was there last year & is amazingly helpful. She is an example of whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability. Then the niece picked me up for shopping. We went to the Folsom outlets & Ifound a blouse at the Gap. We then went over to the Palladio to shop at White House Black Market & I found 3 things. One is a very sparkly, tight "jeggings". We got ready to attend the big White Elephant party at my sister's. I wore my new sparkly jeggings & got a lot of complements on how well I looked. The party was wonderful. However, my sister told me later that she didn't enjoy it because it was so much work.
12/23/2019. I got up early and packed. I realized I ordered the wrong Sally Beauty hair product. I called our local store & they had it in stock 👍👍👍. We left at 11:30 am, stopped to pick up the hair product. I told the shop keeper that she saved Christmas!
We checked into our hotel, the husband napped, & I had a long walk around the Palladio, shopped at Whole Foods & checked out the dress stores. Then we went over to my sister & brother in laws for salad & a pizza dinner.
12/22/2019. I loaded all the presents into boxes, responded to the Christmas greeting letter replies, and attended the round dance party. It was great fun. When I got home, I organized my suitcase, getting it ready to pack in the morning.
12/21/2019. I sent out our Christmas greeting letter. I shopped at TJ's at 8 am to buy some more candy. I ran out of my favorite dark chocolate oranges. I watered the indoor & outdoor plants, planted the 3 new cyclamen I purchased, washed clothes, napped, wrapped 18 presents, & cleaned up my e-mail. Whew!
12/20/2019. I went to the Sees candy store when it opened to purchase a 2 pound box of Sees Candy for Christmas. Also shopped at Joann's, Kohl's, Wal-Mart, Target, & back to Target looking for Christmas cards 🎄❄️☃️🎅🤶 . The good news is I got in 5000 steps. The poor kitty had lots of hairballs, so the husband & I spent some time cleaning it up. I used Folex on all the spots & steam cleaned also. I updated the FF web site.
12/19/2019. Today I saw the expert sinus doctor. Unfortunately, the prednisone did not do the job & surgery is necessary 😧😧😧! Afterwards, I stopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond in Redwood City, but they don't carry toiletries. I also filled up at Costco, then shopped at BB&B in Mountain View. I did some banking, shopped at CVS, & bought Mexican food at LaSalsa home for the husband & I. It was very delicious 😋😋😋.
Our wondeful cleaners came, I napped, worked on some end of the year items, and downloaded some pictures to my computer. I updated the FF Web site.
12/18/2019. I shopped at Walmart, TJ’s, & Joann’s mainly for supplies. I got ready for & danced at club last night. I had a great time, & danced every tip! When I got home, I washed clothes. The prednisone really stimulates my appetite. So far my weight is up 4 pounds🤪🤪🤪! I also updated the FF web site.

I’ve given them angels for many years. She sent me this picture of her angel on her Christmas tree.
The CPA seemed unusually distracted. Afterwards, the husband and I went to the downtown Los Altos Italian deli where he got a sandwich & I got bread. Afterwards, I napped.
12/16/2019. I shopped at Costco, Sprouts, & TJ's. I also worked on my financial report. I converted a file for my husband.
12/15/2019. I washed clothes, watered plants & attended round dance class with my partner. I also made an angel for our round dance teachers.
12/14/2019. The husband & I attended the cookie party at our friend's house. We had a great time! Later, I attended a dance in Santa Clara. It was great fun. I also chatted with Dell today regarding my new computer order.
12/13/2019. I prepared & scanned in a form for our project
12/12/2019. The new computer arrived today. I simply put it in the craft room until I have time to address it. I worked on getting the 2019 financial data organized. 12/11/2019. I prepared & sent off a document needed for our project. The husband & I rolled in the Christmas tree & plugged it in! EZ-PZ! The hard part was moving the console table to make way for the Christmas tree. I made an angel for someone at the club and gave it to her tonight. Club was great fun. I set up a special account also.
12/10/2019. I paid all the property taxes. I almost forgot that today was the due date! I also worked on the end of year tax project.
12/09/2019. I got my hair done today. This was a 5 hour process because I had red strips put in. Later, I shopped at TJ's. I prepared & sent out the new class flyer for posting on our dance club's web site. I booked us in a hotel for our Christmas trip. Unfortunately, I could not get the hotel I wanted. Next year I will book it in August.

12/08/2019. I scanned in & send off a set of interesting newspaper clippings for my cousin-in-law's historical project. That wraps everything up.
12/07/2019. I attended a Board Meeting for our square dance club. I'm the new class publicity chairperson. I attended a very fun dance tonight at El Camino Reelers.
12/06/2019. Our wonderful cleaner's came today. Later, I attended FF in the rain. It was very well attended there were great activities. I took pictures, put them together, & already sent them off.
12/05/2019. I got up early & visited Dr Vaughan, the expert sinus doctor. Unfortunately, the office was unable to read the CD. I had to trek to Los Gatos to have them cut a new CD, which I drove back to Dr. Vaughan. They were able to get this one to work. He is putting me on prednisone to see if that will decrease the inflammation. The doctor said that there is a 60% chance it will work. On the way home, I stopped at Costco for gas. I also stopped at the Los Altos Veterinary Clinic to pick up Annie LuLu's mouth medicine. On the very good news side, Annie's tests are perfect, so she is a very healthy kitty.
Fortunately, the husband picked up the prednisone prescription for me because I was exhausted. I organized a lot of historical pictures & files for my cousin-in-law & sent them all off.
12/04/2019. Annie LuLu had a sore on her mouth. I was very fortunate to get her in at the Los Altos Veterinary Clinic. She was seen by a wonderful doctor. All is well. The vet took all her blood & urine tests & we will know the results tomorrow. She is not concerned about the sore on Annie's lip. I attended club tonight.
12/03/2019. Today I had a Reclast infusion at Stanford. I'm very grateful that the husband came with me. I did fine, but it's a bit scary.
12/02/2019. I stopped at PAMF to pick up the CD that I will need on Thursday for the sinus doctor. I also shopped at the Home Depot, TJ's, & Costco. I installed some wire mesh gutter debris catchers, just purchased at HD, over all my sprinkler valves. After all that, I napped. I ordered my computer today so I could take advantage of the Black Friday prices.
12/01/2019. I went to urgent care this morning to see if I had cracked a rib. They took an x-ray & I only have a pulled muscle. Whew 😌😌😌! Later, I attended round dancing class with my dancing partner. We are doing very well.
11/30/2019. I drove to SEA today to fly home. The husband picked me up. Unfortunately, I leaned over the console in his car and pulled a muscle in my rib. More on that tomorrow.
11/29/2019. I drove my nephew to Seattle. We had a wonderful time. We had coffee at a fabulous Seattle coffee, visited the Seattle waterfront, took him to Ivars, a special place for clam chowder & rode the Seattle great wheel at Pier 57. Later, I dropped by my brother in law's brother's & sister-in-laws house for more partying! They are such wonderful folks.
11/28/2019. Happy Thanksgiving 🌽🍁🍂! I got up had a nice breakfast & shower, and then joined the large gathering for Thanksgiving dinner. Our host had the house beautifully decorated. There was more food than you can imagine & lots of desserts too.
11/27/2019. I checked out of the hotel & drove out to Firwood Farm Alpacas for another visit. The farm is so magical! I was able to spend a few hours there and then I drove my friend (brother-in-laws sister-in-law) to the party in Seattle. I then checked into my hotel in Woodinville & had a nap! Later, the whole family arrived & we had a fabulous pre-Thanksgiving dinner, with lots of food, friends, and camaraderie. I feel so lucky to have been invited to be a part of this wonderful gathering.
11/25/2019. I sent out the Happy Thanksgiving messages & received lots of nice responses. It is a great way to keep in touch.
11/24/2019. I finished the repair of the sprinkler system. Fortunately I was able to reuse an old solenoid to replace the one the squirrels 🐿 chewed. Everything is working👍👍👍. I also covered all the solenoids with vaseline, hot pepper, & peppermint for deterrents. I watered the outside plants & did 2 loads of clothes.
Our neighbor brought over a delicious 😋😋😋 smoothie for each of us made with our pineapple guavas & other things. I practiced round dancing & attended class. It was quite fun! I updated the FF web site & made cards for recipients of the 3 angels.
11/23/2019. I watered the inside plants & updated the FF web site. I printed out my travel documents. I also worked on the flyer for the new square dance 💃🏻 class in January. I then replaced the leaking valve on the sprinkler system. I struggled with it, because I was not installing the quick connect system correctly. Then I discovered that squirrels 🐿 had been knawing on the solenoids of another valve & the ground wire was completely disconnected. At this point, it was getting dark so I shut this repair down until tomorrow. I also gave my neighbor more pineapple guavas. I did research on how to discourage them & also found a mesh cover in my garage for protection.
11/22/2019. I prepared 5 angels kits 😇for my friend & 4 angel kits for me to make. I also sent over some holiday pictures for FF. I had a blood draw at Stanford in preparation for my Reclast infusion. I also prepared, submitted, & FAXed a form to PAMF to get the CD of my CT scan. My long time friend dropped by with a dog she is dog sitting & we took the little beauty for a walk. I then met my friend & Pete's Coffee to instruct her on how to make and angel. We each made one. I stopped at Esther's German Bakery and got a delicious pretzel 🥨. The husband & I had a lovely dinner at Harry's Hofbrau in Redwood City. I updated the FF website & made 2 more angels 😇 to take with me on my trip.
11/21/2019. We met with the Landscape folks this am. The plans are coming along very nicely!
Later, I met with a square dancing person who briefed me on my new duties as Publicity for the new class square dancing.
My radio loses power when the power cord is jiggled. I did research & found a replacement plug & ordered it. Then I used blue painter's tape to tape the cord to the dresser so it won't move.
I met with an expert at Click Away to discuss computer options. The person who helped me also works at Intel & tests software. He has 10 computers (maybe more) running, so he is THE expert. We decided on a Dell XPS for me.
My big Rings 'N Things order arrived. I inventoried it to make sure all the pieces were there & then started to make kits for my friend & I. However, my head really hurt so I crashed leaving lights on everywhere.
11/20/2019. I ordered pet food for Annie LuLu. I also contacted THE expert on Sinuses, filled out the new patient form (1 1/2 hours 😧), called the office to make sure they got it & made an appointment. I on-line chatted with Dell to help me configure a new computer. Support for Windows 7 will end in January, next year. I watered the outside plants.
I prepared a box of pineapple guavas for the square dance peeps.
I square danced & round danced in the evening. It was great fun. I updated the FF web site.
11/19/2019. I had an early morning appointment for a CT scan at PAMF. I shopped at the Dollar Tree, got gas at Sunnyvale Costco & shopped there too.
11/18/2019. I had my hair done today including a hair cut 💇🏻♀️ (Only 1/2 hours ), then shopped at Walmart, TJ’s, CVS, & Sprouts. I also updated the FF website, & did some banking. I helped the sister with a computer situation.
11/17/2019. The husband & I had a nice walk today. I FaceTimed with my sister & watered 💦💦💦 my outdoor plants. I practiced round dancing 💃🏻 & took a lesson with my partner tonight. We are doing well 👍👍👍! I didn’t take any Musinex today & my headache 🤕 came back. Our neighbors finally captured little Charlie yesterday 🐶🐶🐶👍👍👍!
11/16/2019. Happy birthday Dad in heaven 😇🙏🙏! I made a lovely collage for him. The neighbor’s dog, Charlie, escaped again .... the 1st place she runs is into our back yard. The neighbor & I were unable to catch her. She actually hops on all fours like a gazelle & is very fast, quite comical to watch! I accompanied my neighbor around the neighborhood & we located her in several places, but were unable to capture her. 😂😂😂. I discovered my neighbor loves pineapple guavas so I gave her a nice box 📦 of them.
I still have a headache. I got up at 3 am to take some Musinex & it is helping. I also placed a big order on Rings ‘n Things. I washed two loads of clothes. It is very hard to get things done when I’m not feeling well 🤕🤕🤕🙁!
11/15/2019. I watered 💦💦💦 the inside & outside plants. I picked up the stack of plants that I dug out the day before. I also tested all the sprinkler lines & discovered that one of my soaker hoses has a hole in it. Unfortunately it is behind the blackberry bushes & quite unreachable. I also signed us up for our prescription drug plan for 2020. I helped the husband with his web site problem & updated the FF web site.
11/14/2019. Our cleaners came today & the house looks wonderful! Before they come, we run around & straighten things up. I gave them some pineapple guavas & gave a big box to another friend. I shopped at Whole Foods to look for a ginger oil essence, but did not find one. I also shopped at TJ’s. I discovered one of my sprinkler heads had been chewed on & was spewing water 💦 💦💦 everywhere. This particular system is on for an hour, so that may account for our very high water bills 💸💸💸! I replaced the head & dug out some plants that were blocking the water from reaching the tree.
11/13/2019. I shopped at Whole Foods & bought a peppermint oil essence for my headache. I prepared a big box of pineapple guavas & brought them to square dancing 💃🏻. There are folks there that are big fans. I gave myself a B for dancing.
11/12/2019. I had a nice conversation with my friend who received the osteoporosis diagnosis. She said our conversation helped her. I’ve had the diagnosis for so many years that it Is not upsetting to me.
I went to the Doctor 👨🏻⚕️ for my headache 🤕🤕🤕, then to Costco to shop & pick up a prescription for Flonase. I very quickly made an angel 😇 for my cousin & his family. We met him at Chef Chu’s 🥢🥡🥠 for dinner. We had a wonderful visit! He is from out of state & we hadn’t seen him in 4 years. Then he came over to see my husband’s book collection, it’s actually a library 📚 ! His wife is a published writer.
11/11/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk around the ‘hood. I sent out a Veteran’s Day greeting to my veteran friends. I also did some research for a friend who was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis. I discovered that a brand new medication was approved in April, Evenity.
11/10/2019. I visited my friends to give my opinion on carpets. They are replacing all their carpets. I also picked up some day old bread 🥖 for me & a sandwich 🥪 & pickles for my husband at the downtown Italian deli.
11/09/2019. I watered the inside & outside plants. I also trimmed up some of the front plants. I washed two loads of clothes & napped. I continued to shop for sweat shirts.
11/08/2019. Happy Birthday Mom, in heaven 😇🙏🙏! I made a nice card for her & posted it. I also talked to the expert at Mission Trail, regarding recycling. Jack, the expert there, wants us to continue with our recycling habits even thought there's currently no market for some of the plastics. He believes the market will come back.
The husband & I shopped at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, & Costco. That was fun! The husband brought me to the local deli for some delicious olive bread 🥖😋😋😋. Then I returned to Costco to pick up 2 heated throws that are now on sale 👍👍👍💰! They only last a year & I cannot be without one. I also ordered the husband another heating pad. They were the "Deal of the Day" and were $10 off 💰👍👍👍!
I shopped for sweat shirts on line. I desperately need new ones.
11/07/2019. I made appointments for our end of the year tax appointment & for my reclast infusion. The husband decided to light the fireplace. That led to a major project: cleaning the glass & surrounds, both very dirty. Then I discovered that the batteries had leaked both in the received & the controller. I cleaned all the battery acid up with baking soda. I then discovered that our replacement AAA batteries had all leaked 😵🤪! I collected all the batteries & put them out with the trash & recycling per the instructions.
11/06/2019. I had an appointment to have a bone density test & an appointment with the wonderful bone endocrinologist, Dr. Sellmeyer, She was very pleased because my results show significant improvement. I collected more pineapple guavas for square dance tonight. I square danced & round danced with my partner. I gave myself an A- for both dances 🕺💃! My round dance partner also thought we did very well/1
11/05/2019. The husband & I had a nice walk. I got my 5k steps in today. I also talked to him about a resentment I have against a particular person. He helped me to understand that perhaps there was another angle 😃👍! I washed my new patterned socks 🧦 & put together 2 months of cc receipts.
11/04/2019. I got up early & met my hiking friends 👫. We walked at Rancho San Antonio for 5 miles, then had coffee ☕️ at Peet’s. It was wonderful to see them all again! We have such a ruckus time together! I shopped at TJ’s, then had a long nap 😴😴😴.
11/03/2019. I watered all the outside plants today & practiced round dancing. I then attended round dance class. It was great 👍 except for an embarrassing 😳 incident (again). I reminded myself that I did the best that I can do!

11/01/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came today. I watered all my indoor & outdoor plants, updated the FF web site, & took pictures at FF. I'm so not happy with the pictures. I've not liked this camera 📸 since I've bought it. Maybe it's time for the new iphone 📱with the great camera.
10/31/2019. Happy Halloween 🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻 ! I had lunch at Hobees with my long time friend. The husband & I had a phone appointment with his sister, I shopped at Costco for Halloween candy, & we are ready for trick-or-treaters.
10/30/2019. I shopped at CVS & Sprouts to by treats for the Halloween dance tonight. I danced tonight at Rockin Jockers in my new witches's outfit! The place was packed & the costumes were awesome. My round dance partner & I round danced too. We did well! Look at this incredible pumpkin carved by one of the square dancers!
I updated the FF web site & posted some Halloween pictures from the "hood. Lots of frightfully big spiders, dead bodies, and skeletons everywhere!
10/29/2019. I called Sirius radio to discuss our annual renewal fee. The agent was able to get me an excellent price. I watered some of the inside & all of the outside plants. My niece had surgery today. Everything turned out exceptionally well & we are very grateful!
10/28/2019. I saw my wonderful hairdresser today & shopped at TJ's. I also had a nap. I also updated the FF web site. My friend had surgery today. I checked in with her & she is doing OK. I also ordered some needed items today from Artbeads.
My husband made his signature dish again this evening!
10/27/2019. I attended round dance class with my partner. We are in beginning 2 step class & it's lots of fun. I had an embarrassing incident at class😳!
10/26/2019. Updated the FF site several times today. The husband & I dropped off the shredding & then shopped at Costco.I got ready for the dance at El Camino Reelers in my vampire outfit. I did not feel like I danced will, but I had fun!

10/23/2019. I took some pictures for the landscaper today. I also got the name of an eye surgeon for the husband. I prepared pineapple guavas to bring to club tonight.I danced with the club tonight in my "hippie" costume. There were very nice costumes there. I also brought a large amount of pineapple guavas & a special supply to a dancer who loves them.
10/22/2019. I had a great lunch up at Harry's Hofbrau with a group of folks from work. I also shopped at Costco & napped. Otherwise, not very productive.
10/21/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk today. We saw beautiful roses along the way & met some of our neighbors by asking to pet their wonderful doggies 🐶! Later, I shopped at TJ's. In the afternoon, we got our flu shots & I spent the rest of the day in bed recovering 😂😂😂!10/20/2019. I visited my friend today to give her opinions on her carpet selection. She is recarpeting her entire home. I also stopped off at the Italian deli for some day old bread & to get the husband a "Godfather" sandwich & pickle.
10/19/2019. We saw a bunny today! The husband recognized this bunny because it has an orange patch around it's neck.The husband & I had dinner at Harry's Hofbrau. It was Saturday night & the place was packed.
10/18/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came today. As usual, the husband & I had to straighten things up before they came. Actually, the house was in pretty good shape. They are cleaning parts of our refrigerator each time too.
I watered all the indoor plants, had a nice nap, & washed 2 loads of clothes. I updated the FF web site for November.
10/17/2019. I returned an item at TJ's & shopped, put some protection over my new ginger sprouts, & watered outdoor plants. I've also ordered my name tag swinger, which I want printed in large letters. I also sent out pictures to another class mate.
Then I attended this new square & round dance class that is very fast. Although I was tired, I did surprisingly well!
10/16/2019. I shopped at TJ's & studied square dancing. I prepared a huge box of pineapple guavas to bring. I was nervous about square dancing, but I did just fine & all the pineapple guavas were taken!
10/15/2019. I got up early this morning for me to go to the Worker Center for a worker. I had a wonderful worker who cleaned off all the sticky cocoons left behind by the Tussock moths, cleaned up all the apple litter under our trees, and finished the weeding under our trees. At $20 an hour plus tip, this was a bargain!
I also shopped & did some banking. Later in the afternoon I napped, finished the high school reunion pictures & sent them out. The husband made us a great tofu dish.
I also repaired my friend's bracelet & angel pendant.
10/14/2019. The husband & I had a walk this am. This person has an interesting way of keeping passerbys from stealing his persimmons by writing dire warnings on the fruit!

Our pineapple guava bushes are loaded. We've already given away a few bags. I still have my headache 🤕🤕🤕& took some more Imitrex this evening.
10/13/2019. My lovely friend, square dance buddy, and spiritual adviser visited today. I gave her some pineapple guavas. She gave me some jewelry to restring, & I'm in the process of doing that.
I'm also working on the pictures I took at the class reunion. Most of them require more light.
Later, I attended round dancing class with my round dancing partner. When I got home, I ate, & fell into bed.
10/12/2019. I FaceTimed with my sister this am. still have my headache 🤕 🤕🤕! Imitrex isn’t even cutting it. The husband went to the book sale & bought several books 📚 on his list 👍. The husband made stir fry tofu with spinach, garbanzo & kidney beans. I was his sous chef 👩🏻🍳 (ie I cut up the tofu & opened & drained the 2 cans of beans 😃. The meal was delicious 😋.
I watered some outdoor plants & deep watered 💦 the redwood, plum, & fig trees. The sprinkler valve itself is leaking ... I have to determine if I want to replace it before the new landscaping is done.
I also washed 2 loads of clothes & finally unpacked my suitcase 🧳 ! A headache is so debilitating.
10/11/2019. I watered 💦 the inside plants & some of the outdoor ones too. I also swapped out a piece of my sprinkler valve to see if I could stop the leak. I’ll know tomorrow. I returned my Amazon item at Kohl’s, shopped at Sally’s Beauty, & returned something at WM & shopped there too, but bought nothing. I still have a headache 🤕 & I napped 😴today.
10/10/2019. I shopped at TJ’s & WM. I still have my headache. I also changed out a
part of my sprinkler valve that was leaking badly. Hopefully that will stop the leak. The two ginger plant starts that the bunnies 🐰🐰🐰 ate are now sprouting again 👍👍👍!
10/09/2019. I got an appointment with Dr. Souvignier for my headache & cold. The husband took me 👍👍👍. The Dr. determined that I was not contagious 😷 but had a sinus infection for which he prescribed antibiotics 💊💊💊. The husband & I had lunch at In ‘n Out Burger 🍔. I love their French Fries 🍟😋. Then we shopped at Costco & filled my 2 prescriptions 💊💊💊. I FT’d with my sister in the evening. She spent 8 hours at Kaiser emergency 🚨 with the niece. The niece has been in terrible pain for days now f the same thing has happened over the past few months. The Dr. determined that the niece has 3 kidney stones. They administered several doses of morphine & sent her home with strong pain meds. It took 3 Dr. visits to get to the root of this issue.

10/07/2019. My sister & I packed up before our 11 am checkout time & drive home. I stopped for gas ⛽️ at Costco in Gilroy. It’s been so long since I was there I somehow thought it was in the other side of Hwy 152. I know I’m feeling unwell because I missed the Hwy 280 turnoff. When I got home, I napped.

10/05/2019. I packed & left for Los Banos. This evening, the sister & I attended my Class reunion. It was just lovely. As usual, I was the picture taker.

10/03/2019. The husband & I met with the landscapers today & I also got my hair done this afternoon.
Afterwards, I shopped at Kohl's & Target to find a black skirt. I finally found one at a Salvation Army resell shop in downtown Los Altos. The skirt is quite nice, washable, & inexpensive.
10/02/2019. Today the husband & I reviewed some large, complex documents for our project. I prepared them for mailing 📬. I also wrote some checks for the great, new fence installed in the back of Pelton. I talked to my sister, had a nap 😴, & updated the FF web site 💻. I still have my cold 🥶 😕.
10/01/2019. Today we got up early to be at the DMV in Redwood City when it opened. The husband took his drivers license written test 📓. He passed 🥳🏆. So he can drive again 🚗🚗🚗! Meanwhile I filled up my car at Costco ⛽️ & shopped there a bit. I napped, talked to my sister, watered the outside plants, deep watered some trees 🌲, washed 🧺 some new clothes. I still have my cold 🥶🤧.
09/30/2019. I still have my cold 🥶🤧😢! I slept in & updated the FF site. It was very challenging because the side bar was not working properly .... ie when clicking on the logo it was supposed to link over to the sponsor’s page & it did not. It took a lot of investigation to figure this one out. Then I updated the past events & somehow removed an item from a drop down menu .... again more digging thru the web to figure out how to fix it. It’s done ✅.
09/29/2019. I’m still sick. I watered the inside & outside plants 🌱 & washed 2 loads of clothes. I also missed round dancing today.
09/28/2019. My throat is so sore that I cannot talk aaaaarrrrrrrgggggg! I spent most of today in bed. I will miss the dance 💃🏻 tonight😞!
09/27/2019. I had a scratchy throat today. It went to Stanford for my once every 3 month blood draw. I’m hoping that I didn’t catch Randy’s cold 🥶!
09/26/2019. Found the information for our Class Reunion 👩🎓 & will send in the check. After some correspondence with the FF web site manager, I was finally able to log into the FF web site & complete all the October updates 👍👍👍! I updated our financials also. I talked to the person who is the current club treasurer & it doesn't sound like a job I want.
09/25/2019. I shopped at TJ's & Sprouts to buy some treats for the club. I attempted to update the FF site ..... couldn't log in. I watered all the outdoor plants 🌱🌺, napped & studied square dance moves. I picked figs & apples and attended the club dance. It was great fun. I was also asked to be the Treasurer! Yikes.
09/24/2019. I bought tickets for my sister & I for the Il Volo concert on 03-09-2020. This will be our 5th concert & I'm very excited!
09/23/2019. I signed the contract with our landscaper & sent it off. I attended square dance class tonight for the completion ceremony! Us class folks planned a great surprise for the attendees & it went off well! The club had a few surprises for us too & this beautiful cake!
09/22/2019. The sister & brother-in-law left early this morning. I watered the outdoor plants. I met my cousins in downtown Los Altos at the annual Corvette shows. It's one of the largest shows out west. There was a Corvette there worth over $1M. Later, I attended round dancing class with my partner. He hurt his hip, & I have a strained muscle in my side: what a pair! Round dance class, 2 step, was great fun!
09/21/2019. The brother-in-law installed the new Ring doorbell & I programmed it! I like it a lot. I also gave my wonderful neighbor a ride to a private wedding 👰🏻 🤵🏻because there was limited parking. I finished watering my outdoor plants.
Later, the sister, brother-in-law, & I had a wonderful dinner at Chef Chus🍚🥠🥢🥡. It was fabulous. The husband is still feeling 🤧 unwell so we brought him his favorite dish. I did a few computer 💻 chores, washed the dishes, & washed a load of clothes 👖👕.

09/19/2019. We had our review with our wonderful financial folks & then had lunch at Hobees!09/18/2019. I took my car 🚗 in to be washed 🧼 & strained a muscle in my side that really hurts. I also shopped at TJ's, Wal-mart, & Sprouts. I picked apples & figs for the club. I went square dancing 💃🏻 with the club & did fine.
09/17/2019. I helped the husband troubleshoot his backup disk and concluded it failed. I shopped at Costco today & among other purchases I bought him a new backup disk.
09/16/2019. The husband woke up with an excruciating 😖 headache 🤕. I gave him & Imitrex tablet & it went away. I went for my last walk along the sea 🌊 & it was lovely! We packed & got to the airport early. Unfortunately, I left my cane in the rental car 🚗 shuttle. I sat at the drop off point for a long time hoping to find the bus 🚌 that had it, unsuccessfully. The plane ✈️ trip home was uneventful. Here’s a list of all the challenges we had on the trip:
Lyft driver on way to airport turned around & looked at us when he talked to us, making the husband very nervous 😬.
TSA agent pointed out that the husband’s drivers license expired today, his birthday 🎂!
My rolling case jammed & caused my husband’s toenail to turn... ouch!!!
Our hotel 🏨 room wasn’t ready & we had to wait for 2 hours before we could get in
When I unpacked I discovered that I had only 1 pair of 👖 pants!
We went off to the local Costco to buy my pants 👖 & the husband ended up with Ruffles & Costco pizza 🍕 for his birthday 🎁 dinner!
We parked a long way from the Midway exhibit when there was plenty of parking nearby.
We visited the San Diego Zoo Animal 🦒🐘🦍🦏🐪🦛 park & the temperature hit 102☀️☀️☀️!
The husband wanted to watch the 49ers game 🏈 & it wasn’t broadcast in San Diego!
The husband came down with a horrible cold 🥶
I left my cane on the rental car 🚗 shuttle bus. I waited by the bus drop off point for an hour hoping to find the cane. It got to the point that I was seeing the same drivers & finally had to leave because out flight was leaving ! I also left one of my special pin hangers in the hotel room! I discovered this when I unpacked at home.
All that said ... we loved our room & the view, ate well, had some fabulous walks 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♂️& enjoyed spending time together 💕!
When we got home, I watered some plants 🌱, showered, somewhat unpacked 🧳 & went to square dance class. I’ve been invited to join the club so that is very exciting!
09/15/2019. I attended my friend's celebration of life service in Fallbrook. It was lovely & of course very sad. When I got back, I discovered the husband had a horrific cold 🤧🤧🤧😟. He dispatched me to the 24 hour drug store to get him some Nyquil. I also filled up the car with gas ⛽ to prepare for turning in the rental car.
09/14/2019. We visited the San Diego Wild Animal Park 🦁🦒🦏🐅🦓🦍🦧🦛🦘🐏🐐🐃🐆 near Escondido. It was great, but it was 102🥵🥵🥵! We saw lots of animals!
09/13/2019. Today we walked around a bit and visited the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. I've been there before but I love it!
09/12/2019. I got up at 4:30 am to finish packing for San Diego. We left for San Diego: see above for all the problems we had 🤪🙃! Because the husband could not drive, it was up to me. The rental car was fine. We couldn't get into our hotel room, so we went out to lunch at a great restaurant Persian restaurant, the Luna Grill. Once we unpacked, we napped, then shopped at Costco & TJ's in San Diego to stock up (see list of problems above for those stories)!
09/11/2019. I partially packed in preparation for our trip, studied the square dance calls, picked apples & figs, & went to square dancing tonight. Folks at the club love the apples & figs.
09/10/2019. I found a birthday card for the husband 🎂🎁🎈 & also my favorite decaf coffee on sale at CVS pharmacy. The birthday card search usually requires a search through several stores, so this was great. I also stopped at Sprouts to get some treats for the club. I prepared the to do list & check for our wonderful friend who will take care of Annie LuLu.

09/08/2019. I drove home today, stopped for gas. There was no traffic. I round danced this evening.
09/07/2019. After the big party, we rested. I shopped at the Nugget & got my very favorite quinoa salad. I got to see little Missy at a soccer game & that was great fun. In the evening, my sister & brother in law attended a wedding. I begged to go with them, but no dice. I visited my great niece & nephew, and the nephew's friends, two wonderful twin boys. We took Tazzy for a walk, petted the guinea pigs, & I got to see all their fish.
09/06/2019. I got up this morning, packed in a hurry, and left for Sacramento. It is Friday afternoon & it took me 4 1/2 hours in traffic. The celebration was awesome!

08/31/2019. The husband saw 2 bunnies 🐰 in our yard. It looked like a bunny chewed one of the ginger sprouts. I put some protection around it. I watered the redwood, fig, plum, & clematis plants. The husband & I went to Costco & I returned 4 pairs of jogging pants 👖 & bought 2 in the brand that fits me well. I also washed clothes. I rested then went square dancing. I’m still not doing one call properly, “cross-fire”. I know the call, I’m just not executing it right IRT.
I also ate too many cookies at the dance tonight & some of the BBQ chips on the way home! As I was preparing to go to sleep, I saw that the label maker I’ve been studying dropped $8 in price. I ordered it & another item for which I clipped a $4 coupon! SCORE!!!
08/30/2019. The landscapers came today at 10 am to measure. Then 4 folks arrived to clean the house. All the commotion made me 🥴 dizzy, but the house looks great. I watered all the inside & outside plants 🌱 & washed the cleaning articles the cleaners used. I also updated the FF web site.
08/29/2019. I made all the reservations for our trip to San Diego. It will be a nice vacation & we both love San Diego. My long time friend visited today & we picked her a lot of apples & figs. I updated the FF web site again & washed a load of clothes. I also backed up my blog & my computer for the first time in 2 months!
08/28/2019. I updated the FF web site. I also studied three square dance moves. I picked a box full of apples from our yard to bring to the club this evening to go along with other treats. Very sadly, we found a bunny that had been killed in our yard 🐇. I put a warning on our neighborhood web site that there are predators in the area. We were very worried about a kitty, Tito, that visits us. His Mom let me know that she hadn't seen him in a few days. Fortunately, he showed up at home 😌. Also, the 4 ginger plant cuttings that my cousin gave me are all sprouting!

08/26/2019. I got up early to pick figs & apples to give to my friends. I met them for a hike at 8:00 am, yikes. I also did some banking & shopped at TJ's. In the afternoon the husband noticed that there was a lot of water gushing from the neighbor next door. I got my other neighbor to come over with me to tell them about it. Later I went dancing. Because I was so tired, I did not feel like I danced very well.
08/25/2019. I met my partner for round dancing this evening. It was a lot of fun. I placed an order for some hair gel.
08/24/2019. I reached out to my other friend about the San Diego trip. We are both going to attend a Celebration of Life for our mutual friend's wife. She passed away only 6 weeks after she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer 😢. They have been together since they were both teenagers & have been married for over 50 years. It is a huge loss for my friend. I also washed clothes. I watered the indoor & outdoor plants.
08/23/2019. I had a wonderful lunch at Chef Chu's with my long time friend from work. It was great to catch up. She is very sad over the loss of her amazing dog, Mattie. She did everything medically possible to save Mattie with three expensive procedures. The outcome was very sad. Later she came over so I could give her some lovely jade & amethyst beads my other friend gave away.
I went to a square dance tonight to get in some more practice. It was fun. The caller was a different caller than I expected.
08/22/2019. We met the repair person over at the husband's condo & he installed the new faucet for the sink very quickly. Afterwards, we shopped at Costco. We also got a nice meal at "In and Out" burger 🍟😋!

08/18/2019. I got up late. The husband & I installed the shower 🚿 part replacement at his condo, tightened the bathroom faucet, & shopped at Costco. I had a nice nap 😴 in the afternoon & washed clothes.
08/17/2019. We had a long visit with the husband’s sister & then I napped. I watered the outside plants, watched all the plus videos, & square danced 💃🏻 for 3 hours. I did average for me. I updated the landscaping sheet again & sent it off to our landscaper.
08/16/2019. The cleaning 🧹 🧼 folks came today & the house looks great. I watered all the indoor plants 🌱, went to my hairdresser, shopped at Sally’s beauty & Wal-Mart, & picked up a burrito 🌯 for the husband at his favorite Mexican taqueria. I really like the new leave in conditioner from Sally’s beauty. Then I had a nap😴 . I also washed the supplies used by the cleaning folks. I updated the landscaping sheet.
08/15/2019. I watered the outside plants. It’s very hot 🥵 today. I also used the special product & drill scrubber attachment to clean all the water spots from the husband’s shower 🚿 glass. I don’t think there’s any improvement & by using a higher grit cleaning attachment, I scratched the glass. Sometimes there’s success & sometimes there isn’t 🤪!
8/14/2019. II met with our landscaper this morning & reviewed what we want done. I watered all the outdoor plants again because it’s very hot 🥵 again. I also danced with the club & did fine. My round dance partner & I danced every round dance & we did really well 💃🏻🕺🏼!

08/11/2019. I went over to my spiritual advisor’s home to help her sort through her jewelry. It was great fun. I took quite a few pieces home that need to be repaired. Later, I attended 2 step round dance lessons with my partner, & we had fun!
08/10/2019. I attended square dance 💃🏻 practice class today & felt like I did really awful. I’m ready to quit! Later the husband & I attempted to meet up with my friend & his wife. Unfortunately, we weren’t clear about the coffee ☕️ venue, & we went to one place, they went to another 😧😧😧! The husband picked lots of fresh apples 🍎 🍏 so we dropped the bag off at their home. My friend left his phone at home so I couldn’t reach him to clarify the place. The husband & I shopped @ TJ’s. I felt bad about this because I was really looking forward to out coffee ☕️ date 😢😢😢.
08/09/2019.I met my friend today to teach her how to bead an angel. It was fun! Afterwards, I stopped off at a Mountain View take out place & got some delicious baba ganoush with bread. Also shopped at Walmart, came home, napped & washed clothes.

We had a great time. I had a nice nap 😴 & washed another load of clothes. The husband & I worked on removing the hard water stains from his shower. It is better, but they are quite embedded in the glass. I cleaned up computer files, watered all the indoor plants 🌱 & finished watering the outside ones. I also deep watered the redwood 🌲 tree, the fig tree, & the clematis vine.
07/26/2019. I finally got the ginger rhizomes planted & watered most of our outside plants. I had a hair appointment today & picked up a few more things at TJ’s. I washed a load of clothes.
07/25/2019. I called Moen & they are going to send us a replacement part for the shower head 🚿. I fertilized the orange 🍊 tree & watered outside.Then I went over to a person I met at square dancing to show her how to make Swarovski angels. I made one too & we had a great time. She loves her little angel 😇! I shopped at Wal-mart & Trader Joe’s.
07/24/2019. I was careless this morning & fell on my knees out in the garage. Fortunately, nothing is broken, but my right knee is badly bruised & scraped. The sprinkler valve was leaking so I changed out parts & re-installed it. I believe that one of the old connectors I reused failed because it broke off. Fortunately I was able to extract it from the new sprinkler valve.

07/23/2019. I work up this am to the sound of running water. My water sprinkler controller fixed failed at one of the joints. Then, when I was turning off the water, I use a pair of pliers and broke off half of the turn off handle. I designed the replacement, made a parts list & purchased all the products.
07/22/2019. Today I repaired the sprinkler valve. I had to remove all the wires from all the other valves so I could place the sprinkler wire in a PVC sheath. It all worked. Unfortunately, it was the heat of the day & I was very hot.
In the evening, I went to square dance class. It was great fun!
07/21/2019. This is my day off. Unfortunately, I discovered that one of my sprinkler valves was leaking. As I was examining it, I also noticed that some creature was chewing on the sprinkler wires. I took it all apart, cleaned up what I decided to salvage, put together a plan to encase those sprinkler wires, capped off the pipes where I removed the controller in preparation for the repair. I also washed 3 loads of clothes today.
07/20/2019. The husband, the nephew, & I went out to Hobees for a delicious meal. Then the husband took him on a tour of the Google-plex. When we got home, the nephew left & I had a nap. Then my friend & I drove up to San Mateo for a square dance with the San Mateo Roadrunners. My round dance partner was there & we danced every round dance that was at our level.
07/19/2019. The husband, the nephew, and I trekked to Half Moon Bay. On the way, we stopped off at the Flintstone House in Hillsborough to take pictures. That is a very interesting place. We had a lovely walk along the beach at Half Moon Bay & had dinner at Barbara's Fish Trap.

07/11/2019. The husband & I returned the defective hand held shower head at the Home Depot & later in the afternoon I had a dentist appointment & got a perfect check up. I bought myself a treat at Safeway. I mentored my nephew regarding changes he is considering in his career. I also updated the blog & worked on the books.
07/10/2019. I finally selected a replacement shower head & ordered it today. I watered my outside plants today & attended square dancing at ECR. It was great fun. The people at this club are super nice. I placed an on-line order for more condo repair parts & some other items. I made an angel for my friend's step daughter who is recovering from a very serious accident.
07/09/2019.I had a wonderful lunch at Chef Chu's with my long time friend. In the afternoon, the husband & I picked up a piece of salmon from our friend. The husband cooked it this evening & said it was wonderful. I also washed clothes & used a glue gun to tighten up a costume jewelry ring that was too big. It worked great.
07/08/2019. I walked with my hiking group at the Blackberry Farm trail, had coffee at Peet's, & shopped at TJ's. The husband & I met the repair person over at his condo to switch out the leaking bathroom faucet. The hand held shower head that we purchased had a broken part so he could not install that. I also ordered two CD lessons for round dancing class. Later, I attended square dancing class.
07/07/2019. My spiritual mentor visited & we had a lovely walk. Then I took two round dancing classes with my round dancing partner. We did just fine in the beginner's class, not so great in the Phase 4 class.
07/06/2019. I got my hair done today, then shopped at TJ's. The husband & I also shopped at the Home Depot to get supplies for his condo. I downloaded all the FF pictures including the ones sent to me from others.
07/05/2019. Our cleaners came with 4 people! That was quite interesting, a little much even for me! I attended First Friday. It was great fun!

07/03/2019. Shopped at Joann's today for crimp beads, then returned them. I then purchased the correct crimp beads at Michaels.
07/02/2019. Today was another lazy day. I went to Comcast to get the old type controller for the husband & paired it with the TV. It's all set up. We are worried about our Annie LuLu. She's not very hungry today. The sister picked up the pendant. It is truly stunning.
07/01/2019. I rested today. This evening was square dancing. I didn't do the best. However, I met a wonderful woman who has an interest in beading & we are going to get together to make some angels 😇😇😇💎💎💎!
06/30/2019. My spiritual mentor & I met downtown for a wonderful walk. Later, I went round dancing with my partner. This is the best we've every done! Yah!
06/29/2019. My longtime friends came over & met us for a lovely walk. She brought over raspberries & blackberries from her garden. We sent her home with only one fig. Later, I went to the Comcast store to pick up our replacement DVR. I installed it, & despite hours of trying, I was unable to pair it with our TV 😩😖😣. The husband can now watch TV but we need two controllers. I napped today.
06/28/2019. I was very tired today. Yesterday, we learned that one of my dear friends & walking partner passed away. That was so said & completely unexpected. I Facetimed the sister, watered the plants inside & out. The Comcast box died. After much time troubleshooting, we determined the box was dead. I made an appointment to swap it out tomorrow. I also shopped at TJ's to stock up our food supplies.
06/27/2019. This is the first day we got to sleep in! Our cousins came over & met us for breakfast. We had a small nap, packed up, & went over to the Great Mall of America. We had a nice meal there, but the mall is extremely noisy. We arrived at the airport, turned in the rental car, waited in a LLLOOONNNGGG TSA line, & waited for the plane. I slept on most of the flight.

06/26/2019. Today is the Doctor's appointment. I had to be at the clinic at 6:30 am for my 1st round of tests & I wasn't the only one there. The Doctor has declared me completely stable with no myelomas on my bones!
We had a nap at our hotel before packing up & checking out. On the way out, we got me a yummy yogurt. We also stopped at Costco to buy the husband 4 pounds of summer sausage.
We drove back to Minneapolis, MN, checked in to our very nice hotel, & napped. We were invited over for dinner at our cousin's home & had a lovely time. Their daughter, son-in-law & 3 children were there too & we had a lovely visit with everyone.
06/25/2019. I got up at 4:30 am to finish packing. We arrived at the airport on time. The flight was uneventful. We met this wonderful lab, Dante, at the airport!
We had dinner at the Canadian Honker restaurant. The serve very plentiful & delicious portions. This was dessert, apple crisp with ice cream, & whipped cream for me!
06/24/2019. The day before we fly out! I updated the FF web site I packed somewhat. I purchased two-2 pound boxes of Sees candies. I select the candies for each box. I watered all the outside plants & some of the indoor plants. The desk is finally organized & cleaned. I finished all but a few of the statements.
06/23/2019. T minus 2! The husband & I shopped at Costco today. I decided to skip round dancing to get ready. I sent out & printed out the cat instructions. I also made 3 angels for the trip & packed them for delivery.

06/18/2019. I finished my medical test today & sent off the results. I also bought some treats for myself at Safeway. We talked to my sister-in-law in the afternoon. After a nap, the husband & I shopped at Trader Joes. He received some very bad news about a high school friend of his 😢😢😢!

06/16/2019. I watered all my outdoor plants thoroughly. I got ready for & attended round dancing. Only two couples were there are the class so there was a lot of attention on us. Both my partner & I felt like we didn't dance very well 😞😞😞.
06/15/2019. The husband & I worked on some repairs at the condo today. We then shopped at BB&B so I could buy some glass door cleaner. I tried it out & it didn't work, but I will try it out again. I did a load of wash this evening.

06/14/2019. I went to the post office to send some medical paperwork & a few other items & shopped at Safeway for some treats. I had my hair done later in the afternoon.

06/12/2019. It was hot again today, but cooling is expected this evening. Our internet & phones were out all night. I called Comcast & they fixed it. I also called them about my rate & although my rate didn't decrease, they are adding two premium channels. This evening I went dancing at a local square dance club that have tips at my level. It was great fun & I saw some folks that I've not seen since my accident. Afterwards, I washed all the red blouses & tops that I've been collecting for washing.
06/11/2019. The husband & I shopped at Costco today. The heat wave continues. This evening I washed clothes. I also changed the slider pictures for the FF site with the ones that attribute the picture taker.

06/08/2019. I shopped at TJ's. I organized the FF pictures & sent them off. In the afternoon I went to the Strawberry Festival, a local hoe down. I had a wonderful time.

06/07/2019. I made some changes to FF & the changes weren't appearing on the site. I called the person who owns the domain & he had changed some parameters & was going to tell me on Monday 🤨. He got the site straightened out. Then I promptly lost the page! He helped me restore it & all is well. I watered all the inside plants. Today the cleaners came & our house looks great. This evening I attended FF, first time since my accident, & took a lot of pictures.
06/06/2019. I met my long time friend from work for lunch at Hobees. We had a wonderful time visiting for many hours & caught up on each other’s lives. She is doing great. That is right near the area where we worked & it has completely changed. There are many very large, new apartment complexes everywhere. After lunch I went to Costco for gas & shopped.
Meanwhile, the husband repaired the faucet & did a few other things. Once home, I napped. The husband & I drove to the Container Store to return some small baskets. I also updated the FF website.
06/05/2019. The husband & I went over & installed the frames on the mirrors. They look wonderful 👍. See the befores & afters. They transformed the room!
Unfortunately, when we were there we discovered that the handle on the toilet was broken. We came home so I could study 📖 it & determine what part we needed. We trekked over to the Home Depot to purchase the part & of course a lot of other fun stuff for me 👍👍👍 (a garden hose, a planter, some wildflower seeds 🌻🌸🌼). We installed it, easy peasy 👌👌👌. Watching the YouTube video was a great help. We then discovered that the top of the faucet was completely loose so we took that home for investigation. I updated the FF web site & made an Angel 😇 for my friend.
06/04/2019. The frames arrived for the mirrors at the condo, the husband & I assembled them. It was a pretty easy project because there’s an excellent DIY video.
I watered the outdoor plants.These gorgeous amaryllis are in bloom!
06/03/2019. The husband & I did receipts. Then I had to change my Thanksgiving reservations because my family altered theirs. I got ready for & went square dancing. I did OK, just missed out on a few things.
06/02/2019. My spiritual adviser & friend visited for a walk. It was lovely. We were treated to these blooming cacti in a nearby garden.
I also went round dancing. After our long hiatus, it was a bit rough, but we got through it. I shopped at Trader Joes & washed clothes.
06/01/2019. I repaired the 2nd soaker hose only & another hole sprung up = time to replace it! I removed that hose and with the husband's help, we installed a new soaker hose. I harvested all the old repair parts from the old soaker hose. I watered most of the outdoor plants as well as the pineapple guavas. My back was hurting quite a bit after those escapades. Fortunately, it is fine now.
The husband & I visited his condo to meet his new tenants. After that, I rested.
05/31/2019. I watered all the indoor plants. The husband & I shopped at Costco, I tweeked the sliders on our FF web site, & I repaired the soaker hose that is watering the pineapple guavas. I also re-installed a 2nd soaker hose, but it too has a hole. I will repair tomorrow.
5/30/2019. I was very lazy today. My sister & I had a nice Facetime visit & I updated the FF web site.
5/29/2019. I went to a square dance class in San Jose. The class was great, but the drive was not so good in that it took me almost an hour to get down there. I was home in 25 minutes. I had a great time!
5/28/2019. The husband took me for a nice walk today & I made one of the hotel reservations for our trip. I had a nice nap & a nice Facetime visit with my sister. I also updated the FF web site with many updates. I love these roses from our garden. I transplanted this climbing rose bush & made a wedding bouquet out of it. For many years, it has not done well & now it is.
5/27/2019. Memorial Day. I attended the Memorial Day Observance at the Golden Gate National Cemetery. The ceremony was very touching & well done.
I had a wonderful time visiting with my cousin & her companion. We promised each other we would meet together soon. I also updated the FF web site. There were ots of updates.
5/26/2019 I made plans to meet up with my cousin tomorrow after the Memorial Day Observance. I worked on accounting & made an angel for my cousin. I also plan to show her our family photo book.
5/25/2019 I watered he outside plants. The garden is lovely & the bees were out foraging. The husband & I had a lovely lunch at Le Boulanger & then walked around downtown for a bit. I mostly napped today.
5/24/2019. I tracked down the problem of why a health claim was denied & wrote the appeal. As soon as I receive additional forms, I’ll send in the package. I finished unpacking & watered all the indoor plants. I also cleaned the very grimy dish rack. The cleaning 🧹folks came today & the house looks great 👍👍👍. I also got my hair done ...The red streaks had turned blonde so my hairdresser put in a red rinse. At the moment there are no more red streaks😟, but my hairdresser thinks that they’ll return with a few washings. I shopped at T.J.’s, updated the FF web site, & washed 🧼 the supplies used by the cleaners.
5/23/2019. I ordered the mirror frames for two bathrooms for the husband, & went to my annual checkup. I also did some major updates on the FF website.
5/22/2019. I had a wonderful lunch at Chef Chus 🥢🥡 with my long time friend of almost 50 years! I gave her a pillow cover from 1944 that my uncle had gifted to my Mom when he returned from WWII. He was a Marine & the Marine emblems are on the pillowcase. My friend is a member of the Women’s Marine Association.
She doesn’t come empty handed so she gifted me these two beautiful necklaces made of Cloisonné & Swarovski crystals.
She also made a necklace for my sister.

5/20/2019. I studied square dancing & attended class this evening. It was wonderful!
5/19/2019. This is the last day of our great vacation. We packed up & left the beautiful VBRO at 11:00 am & arrived at the airport at 11:45. We had plenty of time before our flights 🛫 to visit & reminisce. The husband picked me up at the airport 🛬 & it is great to be home 🏡 too! I unpacked some things & did a load of laundry 🧺. I also made a new eyeglass holder to replace the one I lost. That took a few hours. The husband cooked Normandy vegetables & tofu. I was his sous Chef 👩🍳!
5/18/2019. Today is excursion day. We did the Southern California Beaches: Huntington, Newport, & Laguna. We had some great food along the way. However, we didn't arrive back at to VBRO until 11:00 pm 😲😲😲! The 3 older people in our group were exhausted.
5/17/2019. I got up at 4:30 am today to finish packing for our trip. On my way to celebrate the nephew's graduation from Cal State University at Fullerton. We had a great lunch in downtown Fullerton, then attended the graduation. The nephew 👨🎓 received his Master's Degree in Educational Technology with a 4.0 🥇🏆! Afterwards we had dinner at a wonderful Lebanese restaurant, Les Amis, in downtown Fullerton. I had many helpings of Baba Ganoush & even took some home.

5/15/2019 I worked on paperwork today & prepared 4 packages of pictures to mail out to classmates & to my ex-husband. Some of these my sister & I found when going through my Mom's boxes. I shopped at Wal-Mart & TJ's. I also washed clothes.
5/14/2019. The worker from center arrived again today @ 8 am to finish the yard work. He finished at noon & the yard looks really nice. I also finished the 2 lists for my husband. The husband & I talked to his sister, picked up the 2 pieces of glass for the console table shelves & shopped at Costco. I also returned a few items there. Afterwards I had a nice nap 😴 😴😴! The husband cooked some delicious corn 🌽 on the cob & we installed the 2 pieces of glass. They fit the shelves perfectly! Later, I washed my pants, & managed to damage each of them while trying to pull off the tags 🏷🙁🙁🙁. Then I worked on getting the class reunion pictures that I ordered organized, placed in my photo album & ready to send out to 3 of my classmates. I’m almost finished with that project. 5/13/2019. The worker from the center arrived at 8:00 am to continue pulling weeds. I picked up the 2 pairs of pants 👖 that I had hemmed. I worked on the check-in check-out list & cleaning list for the husband. I picked up lunch for the worker & the husband & studied square dancing. Then I got ready for & attended square dancing. It was great fun. My round dance partner & I practiced during the break.

5/12/2019. Happy Mother's Day Mom in heaven 💐💐💐💐! I texted a HMD greeting to my sister & 3 cousins. My spiritual mentor and fellow square dancer visited & we had a great walk, see pictures elow. The husband & I visited the condo to measure his two mirrors for a mirror frame. Then I had a nice nap.
5/11/2019. I was very tired today. I washed clothes & watered my indoor & outdoor plants. I also prepared and posted Happy Mother's Day greetings on FB.
5/10/2019. Happy 22nd anniversary to us 🥳🎉💐🎈🎊! We exchanged Anniversary cards, & we both like the cards the other person gave us 💕💕💕!The husband & I were both tired today following a long day of gardening (for me) yesterday. We decided to have our anniversary dinner at Le Bou. It was also Wine Walk celebration. After dinner, I walked around & the husband listened to one of the bands playing in the street.
5/9/2019. Today I got up early & picked up two men to clear the backyard of weeds. After 8 hours of work, 16 total, the back yard looks great. One of the men will return on Monday. I dug out the pipe in front where I intend for sprinkler wire to go and took photos. I also called the mirror frame people & shopped at T.J.'s. All total, I walked 4.7 miles, over 10,000 steps. In the afternoon I treated myself to a nice nap, then washed the dirty clothes I wore today. A large alligator lizard greeted me as I stepped out our front door during one of my many trips today.
5/8/2019. This is one of my tired days! We got up early to take in the husband's car for repair & it the repair was completed at 10:30 am! We met their shop doggy / puppers Zander. He greets customers & has local fans in the 'hood that stop by every day to visit him. Here he is at the counter welcoming us! Zander is a beautiful golden retriever.
5/7/2019. The husband & I shopped at Costco so I picked up the photo prints I ordered. We also stopped off at his rental to measure the two bathroom mirrors for frames. Then I had a lovely long nap. I shopped at Safeway, CVS pharmacy, Walgrens & Target for our anniversary 💕💕💐 card. I found one! Mission success! It's getting quite difficult to find a story card that we haven't given each other already.
5/6/2019. I ordered picture printed, ordered glass tops for our console table shelves, arranged to pick up two helpers later this week, & called the Mayo clinic for an appointment. I also studied the square dancing videos, got ready, & had a great time at square dancing. 5/5/2019. I finished watering the inside plants & put away the towels. The husband & I took a lovely hike around the neighborhood: over 2 miles. I also got hit with 3 rounds of “intestinal distress. It cleared itself up & I’m eating bland foods. I studied both round & square dancing videos & watered the outside plants. Next I went round dancing. My partner f I did pretty well today. The husband & I watched the 2008 remake of “the day the earth stood still” . I climbed into bed early.

5/4/2019. Updated the FF web site for June & washed 3 loads of clothes. Also cleaned up my e-mail & updated the financial ledger.
5/3/2019. I got up relatively early today. I sent out some business forms, worked with a support team on a software program that is not operating properly & after at least 10 un-installs & re-installs, it still doesn't work properly! The husband & I went over to his condo & met with the property management person to discuss the repairs. We then had a great lunch at Le Boulanger downtown. They are known for their artisan breads & I love their dutch crunch rolls 🥖 😋!
5/2/2019. I got up at 6:30 am today 🤪 mostly due to the collection process. I turned in my collection at Stanford & I already got the results: just slightly above normal. I had a nice nap, & the husband, I, & our friend went for a stroll. I also washed a small load of towels, cleaned up the crafts room, finished unpacking 🧳 from last week's trip, & updated the FF website.
5/1/2019. I got up earlier than usual to update the FF website. The collection project started today, I shopped at Wal-mart, completed some business forms, & cleaned out e-mail. Since I couldn’t find in-store batteries for my key 🔑 fob, I ordered them from Amazon.
4/30/2019. I ordered 10 baskets 🧺 for shoe storage on-line. I got up early for my doctor’s appointment, all is well. Also shopped at the Container Store. When I returned home with the 2 different size baskets 🧺, the smart husband thought of another arrangement so I ordered more! Then we shopped at Costco. I brought my friend over a bouquet 💐 for his birthday 🎂 & a balloon 🎈 doggie I made. We interviewed a property management person. We liked her & her firm a lot! Later we met the tenants who are moving out to do a move out walk-through. They are two brothers from India 🇮🇳 that I adore & they invited us to their wedding in India! I would love to go. On the way home, we shopped at T.J.’s. When we got home, I went to bed!
4/29/2019. The husband & I walked today. I washed a load of clothes 👚👖. I called several Property Management firms, & was only successful in reaching one. I had a dial into diagnose a problem with one of the new software upgrades I purchased. Unfortunately, the person could not find the problem either. I studied square dancing 💃🏻 & attended class. There is one call that I’m not doing correctly. As usual, I loved class!
4/28/2019. This is my first full day home. The husband & I walked. It’s a gorgeous day, perfect weather. I took a long nap, we did our cc receipts 🧾. That was very lucky because I discovered that I hadn’t yet paid my car registration license. Today was the last day before incurring a penalty. I checked all my indoor & outdoor plants. The husband did a great job of watering plants while I was away. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling 2 programs for different reasons with no results. I mostly unpacked 🧳 & washed clothes.
4/27/2019. The brother-in-law & I had a lovely walk the last day of my visit. I left for home around noon with my limo driver. We chatted all the way home. I had a nap 😴 then installed the new Quicken.
4/26/2019. The sister & I took her car 🚗 in for maintenance & then we got dropped off at a beautiful indoor shopping 🛍 mall. I found some slacks 👖 that will he sent to my home. We had a lovely lunch 🥗 at Nordstrom. Unfortunately, my sister’s car 🚗 needs a lot of repairs including a new radiator 💸💸💸. She was exhausted when we got home. I delivered the 3 angels, tried on clothes the niece gave me, & settled up the finances with my sister.

4/18/2019. I got up relatively early today, updated the FF web site, washed clothes, made 2 angels & cards, packed, & sent a reply regarding our project. Tonight the husband spotted a black & white kitty, aka a skunk, rambling in our yard.
4/17/2019. My long time friend walker over with the doggie 🐶 she is caring for. The doggie is a frisson biche poodle mix & she is adorable, very calm & friendly.
4/16 2019. Dr. Lust from the Mayo Clinic returned my call & he does want to see me. The husband & I will fly there in June. The sister also offered to accompany me! The husband & I had a nice walk. It’s gorgeous today ☀️☀️☀️ & on our walk we met a beautiful all white retriever.
4/15/2019. I called the Mayo Clinic to find out if my SMM doctor wants to see me. It is raining ☔️ again. We all feel guilty complaining about the wet weather since we are just recovering from 5 years of drought! I square danced this evening & as always, I had a great time!
4/14/2019. My spiritual mentor visited & shortly thereafter my friends visited with the dog they are sitting. We all walked back to their home with the doggie, & had a very pleasant visit in their lovely yard. My round dance partner has a cold so he cancelled round dance.
4/13/2019. I wasn’t so tired today 👍👍👍. I washed clothes, stripped the bed, met with the husband’s tenants for a preliminary walk-thru, shopped at the $ 🌳, made a daily plan prior to my trip, reserved the limo, & updated the FF web site. Whew 🤪🤪🤪! I even managed to watch more episodes of the Detectorist, a hilarious British TV series.
4/12/2019 I was tired today. I watered my indoor plants & some of the outdoor ones also.
4/11/2019. Well I will not be switching health plan providers after all. This has to do with how the plans are priced: community rates vs. age attained rates. ... and ... I will have to be paying more for the gym membership 💸💸💸.
Our great cleaners came today & the house looks wonderful. I was also able to change an appointment at Stanford so it doesn’t conflict with my planned vacation to my sisters at Easter🌷🐰🐥👍. I cleaned up my backup files & am doing a complete backup. The incremental backup didn’t work on my new version of the backup software. I’m also researching the rod implant databases for recalls.
4/10/2019. I called my current health plan provider about the rates. It looks like I will be switching providers. I got up late & napped today. It appears that this was my every other day of limited energy.

4/9/2019. The husband & I visited with our consultant today. It was a great meeting. We saw these gorgeous flowers in a field adjoining our consultant's office.

4/7/2019. I watered my phaelenopsis today. We went out to lunch with our two friends to celebrate our birthdays. Soon afterwards, my friend dropped by with a lovely arrangement of calla lilies. She created this arrangement!
Later, I met another friend for round dancing.
4/6/2019. I watered all my indoor plants, shopped at TJ's, & washed clothes. In the evening I attended the newer dancer hoedown. There were 88 people there (11 squares). That is a great turnout. I had a great time.
4/5/2019. I had a dial in with my FF site mentor. We got the new side panel up today! My mentor created a special widget so we could do this. My FF boss is very pleased. I had my hair appointment this afternoon, then had a nice nap. I also made some other changes to our FF website. I cleaned up my e-mail too. My dad's clivia is in glorious bloom.
4/4/2019. The husband & I shopped at Costco today. I bought a lovely bouquet of flowers which I delivered to my long-time friend for her birthday. We had a very nice visit. Her wisteria is in full bloom as is a camellia bush.
I worked on the FF web site also & prepared a new side panel.
4/3/2019. I talked my husband into dropping off an angel to the surgeon who operated on him last year. We received a very nice thank you note. I brought 3 children's hippopotamus board books to some friends with newborns as well as a Swarovski angel for each child. I also stopped at the gym to get the cost of membership & shopped at TJ's. I did a few updates to the FF web site.
4/2/2019. I talked the husband into bringing an angel over to the surgeon that operated on him last January. The surgeon sent me a lovely thank you note. I also delivered the three Fiona the hippopotamus children's board books to three of the folks at our financial advisor's company, along with angels for each of their babies. I stopped off at the gym to find out how much membership would cost & shopped at TJ's. I also worked on the FF web site.
4/2/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk. I got up late & rested this afternoon. In the afternoon & evening I worked for hours on FF. My FF boss & I are unhappy about the way the site looks. I've reached out to my mentor to see if we can get it fixed.
4/1/2019. I washed clothes (somewhat of an emergency). This evening was square dancing. I did just fine & enjoyed it a lot.
3/30/2019. My spiritual mentor visited this morning & we had a lovely walk. The weather today is beyond gorgeous. I told her about my "witchy" mood yesterday & she says that every day she wakes up and says "Good morning God, thank you for this day." I've just adopted that practice.
This evening I round danced. My partner & I did fine for the first 1 1/2 hours & then not so well. I need a lot more study & practice.
3/30/2019. Today I was the word that rhymes with "witch". For some reason I was just cranky & did no want to be "nice". I watered my orchids & upstairs pants.
I talked to my sister & she helped me saying it helped her to get out. Later I shopped at Wal-mart to buy the husband some Ruffles! I also picked up a few supplies at TJ's. That helped.
3/29/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came. I watered all my downstairs plants & then had a nice nap. I also washed all the rags & mop cleaning pad used by the cleaners. It's always an incentive to pick up things to have it as clean a possible when they arrive.
3/28/2019. I sorted through some additional boxes in my crafts room. The husband made me a tall box out of cardboard to contain my wrapping paper rolls. I got my 3 month blood draws at Stanford & then stopped at the Container Store to do returns. Later, I organized some additional boxes in my crafts room. I found the perfect box at the Container Store for my temporary desk files instead of using the cardboard box. I also downloaded more data into my financial program.

3/26/2019. The stain finally came out of the blouse. 4th time's a charm ☘☘☘. I returned an item at Wal-mart, shopped there, & shopped at TJ's. I had a too long nap today. However, I caught up on some a lot of bookkeeping, including downloading the Amazon data into my financial program.
3/26/2019. The husband & I took a jaunt up to Costco today to get him some gas & to shop. I walked around the entire store. These pretty flowers were growing in the Costco parking lot!
We also went to Piazzas fine food to get some other groceries. Then I had a wonderful long nap! I've washed a blouse that is a favorite of mine 3 times in an attempt to remove a mysterious stain. It's in the wash for the 4th time tonight 😧😧😧!
3/25/2019. Tonight was square dancing. My good friends who are also in the beginner's class have decided to drop out. I'm sad about that. I'm remembering that life is all about change & I decided to embrace all of the other wonderful people who are at square dancing. I had a great time at class tonight.
3/24/2019. I was tired again today. I accompanied the husband to CVS pharmacy to drop off some old medications, I popped into a bagel 🥯 shop for a delicious Dutch crunch sandwich roll, & then we went to In ‘n Out Burger 🍔 for a double double burger for the husband & 2 orders of French fries 🍟 for us to share 😋😋😋! We worked on some books together, I napped, & then did more paperwork.
3/23/2019. I washed clothes & watered all my inside & outside plants. I was exhausted after all the car maintenance. In the evening the husband & I watched a fun movie 🍿, Casino with Robert DeNiro, Sharon Stone, & Joe Persci.
3/22/2019. I brought the van into Independence Honda for the maintenance & items recommended by Honda. The husband picked me up in the morning & dropped me off to pick it up. I had a nice nap 😴 after I dropped it off in the am.
03/21/2019. I brought the van in to the dealer to take care of 2 recall issues & to get the rear view camera on the windshield-recalibrated. Unfortunately, they had some delicious triple-cappuccino & I had 2 cups 😲🙄😬! That is why I was unable to nap this afternoon. After 2 years on decaf coffee, that was quite a jolt to my system. The dealership took me home via Uber & the husband brought me back to pick up my car.

03/20/2019. I shopped at TJ's, napped, did some ranch business. My foot was slightly swollen today, so I decided to rest it a lot.
03/19/2019. I sorted through 8 boxes in my crafts room & have about 20 left to go. I also spotted a gorgeous woodpecker in our yard. Look at how well his colors blend into the wood! I believe it is a Nuttall's woodpecker, but positive ID is not possible using this picture.
My girlfriend took me out to a wonderful lunch at Chef Chu's. We visited for almost 3 hours! Hello world .... we solved an important world problem: we concluded that the problem with the world is the patriarchal society 🤣. Therefore, we propose evaluating all the men on the planet and shipping the troublemakers off to Mars to establish their own colony. We would go through the women too of course, but expect to find very few problems there. We would then establish a matriarchal society & let that society blossom. We are certain that it would be much improved 👍👍👍. My friend said something very interesting to me: that I like to give presents! I said yes & that it is hard for me to accept them. She said that I'm giving the giver the joy that I have when I give!
I completed some accounting for my business partner & also cleaned up computer files. I also did some on-line research for a friend of mine.
03/18/2019. I ordered Annie LuLu's food from a different vendor & I square danced this evening. Even though I missed a few weeks, I was pretty much able to follow everything.
03/17/2019. Happy St. Patrick's Day ☘☘☘! I watered all the inside plants, admired my crafts room again, and went to round dancing. I had a great time. My partner & I did pretty well!
03/16/2019. I rushed off to Costco today to buy presents for the host & hostess of the St. Patrick's Day party. The hostess said we couldn't bring any food. Then the husband balked at coming, & I finally convinced him to attend. By the time we got there, dinner was underway. We had a lovely time & I went to bed as soon as we got home!
03/15/2019. I went to the wonderful hairdresser today, added some more things to be donated, and dropped all the donated items at Goodwill. I also reviewed a resume from a friend.
03/14/2019. The Container Store installers arrived at 9:00 am to install the crafts room shelves. Afterwards, I adjusted some of the shelves, wiped them down, and put boxes on them. I am very pleased!
The husband is traumatized because there's stuff all over the house, garbage from the clean-out that will not fit in our garbage can, recycling that will not fit in our recycling bin, & items to be donated in the front hallway. He feels overwhelmed. I contacted the neighbors & they let us use their garbage & recycling bins so all of it is now gone! I took pictures of the items to be donated & loaded them into my car.
The cleaners came & we were ready for them. The husband is no longer traumatized 😁🤣!
As I use the crafts room, I realize what a great job those organizers did in such a small amount of time. For example, I decided I wanted a few of the old peanut butter plastic jars, & dug through the recycling bin to find them. Afterwards, I discovered that the organizers had already saved some for me.
I spent an hour on Quicken chat again because I could not connect with a financial institution. At the end of it all, the person could not help me. Also, my vitamins arrived, and they sent only 1 bottle out of four that I ordered.
I also washed the laundry from the cleaners.
03/13/2019. I cleaned up some e-mail & made a Swarovski angel for our cousin. He is in serious need of one! I also spent an hour on Quicken chat because of a Quicken error that popped up. The advisor got rid of the error.
03/12/2019. The organizers arrived today at 9:30 am. I didn't sleep well last night.They moved everything out of the crafts room & we sorted through it piece by painful piece. They were so fast, & I was sitting at my table, removing the tiny screws from old glasses. Finally, Lori made me top & get onto something else. At the end of it (2:30 pm) I was exhausted & traumatized 😵🥴 . I had a nice nap. I washed clothes after my nap.
03/11/2019. Shopped at Trader Joe's today & rested. I moved all the containers out of my van and into the house I'm sad that I can't square dance tonight.
03/10/2019. Another Phalaenopsis orchid is in bloom. Our friends brought this over for my husband several years ago to celebrate his birthday.
I slept in late, but got a few things done: watered orchids & upstairs plants, took pictures. Here are pictures of the clematis covering the fence. It looks like know. I believe that the profusion of flowers is due to all our rain!
03/09/2019. I sent to the Container store to pick up both my orders, did some banking, rested, watered plants, & filed. That was it for today.
03/08/2019. I again rested today. The husband & I had a short jaunt over to Wal-Mart & Office Depot. I heard from the attorney & our project is proceeding nicely.
03/07/2019. I was lazy today, I think that is because my foot is needing rest to heal. I updated the FF web site for April, responded to the attorney on the project, & ordered all the plastic bins for the organizer on Tuesday. There was a bit of excitement when the husband insisted that I find out what the neighbor was doing because there was a huge photo shoot occurring at his house. He drove up & I asked him--he said it was for an interior designer😂😅 .
03/06/2019. Today I rested a lot. Ordered some vitamins on-line & updated the blog. I'm over a week behind. Today is the first day of Lent. I decided to do the following: pray one decade of the rosary each day, do one kind deed for someone else, & no gossip! We talked to our friend who survived the cancer about treatment options and relayed this information to our other friend who was just diagnosed. He was very appreciative & added to his list of questions for his doctors.
03/05/2019. I got up early and called PAMF about my right foot. I was able to get in to a podiatrist right away. He determined that I had an avulsion fracture of the cuboid. When my heel was hit by the shopping cart Friday night, the ligament tore, & pulled a tiny piece of bone with it. I'm now in a surgical shoe (plank shoe) for the next few weeks. There is this gorgeous tree in bloom in the hood. I snapped these pictures from my car.
I also ordered some books for the husband's next class.
03/04/2019. I was happily resting, etc, when PAMF called me. A radiologist read my x-rays & suspects something is broken. The radiologist wants me to wear a surgical show until then. Fortunately, I had an old one left over from 2006 that I put into service. It is disintegrating! I called podiatry & there were no appointments available!
03/03/2019. Got up early and went to urgent care. I was there at 8:07 am & were already people in line. The tech that showed me to the exam room said that people line up as early as 7:00 am on the weekends! They took x-rays and determined that there was no fracture. The attending doctor was surprised to see no fracture because of the symptoms I presented. I was very happy to hear this news.
Afterwards I shopped at Whole Foods. I got two loaves of Acme Olive bread, which I love.
She determined that I had a foot contusion. My spiritual adviser came over & visited today. It was lovely to see her.
Today I my great-niece's 12th birthday. She is such a wonderful, special child. I watered my upstairs plants.
03/02/2019. My foot is still hurting pretty badly. I've been checking the lines at PAMF urgent care & the wait all day has been 2 hours +. I will go early tomorrow morning.
03/01/2019. The wonderful cleaners came today. Unfortunately they were 1 1/2 hours late. I inventoried the Swarovski crystals. I also watered all my downstairs plants. Afterwards, the husband & I went shopping. I was at Wal-mart to pick up an on-line order & shop, a shopping cart rammed into my right foot from behind as I was backing up. I didn't feel anything at the time, but soon afterwards, I was in excruciating pain. The husband & I finished shopping at TJ's, I came home & iced the foot.
02/28/2019. Today was our appointment for taxes. It went well & I'm relieved to have this behind me. I also went over to Stanford to have my SMM blood tests & discovered that I was two weeks early! The Stanford gardens are full of these lovely spring annuals.

02/24/2019. The husband & I went for a lovely walk, I washed clothes, & got ready for round dancing. I had a nice time at round dancing. I finished reconciling the downloaded data with the Quicken information. There is certain information that Quicken never downloads .... very frustrating.
These are some daffodils growing in the hood. We ran into some neighbors that are in my square dancing class! It's a small world out there.
02/23/2019. I didn't have much energy today. I managed to water all my inside plants. There are many plants in bloom in our garden. The clematis vine (with the white flower) is so fragrant and is covering a 50 foot stretch of fence. It looks like snow.
I approved the plans for the craft room & am quite pleased. I updated the FF web site. It was a good distraction from the sad news. I also worked on organizing the financial paperwork in preparation for taxes.
The husband & I are seeing a lot of bunnies hopping around our yard and that is just lovely.
02/20/2019. We received the very sad news today, that my niece's friend was found deceased, a likely suicide. That is very upsetting news to all of us.
My husband, neighbor & I had a lovely walk today. I finished trimming the last 2 rose bushes in our garden The designer & I reviewed the plans for the crafts room. The husband & saw two cottontail bunnies in our yard today!
02/19/2019. My niece's friend has been missing since Valentine's Day & everyone, including me, is extremely worried. I worked on taxes today & analyzed the crafts room design. I will make final decisions tomorrow when I have a phone meeting with the designer.
02/18/2019. I finished designing the pendant & sent off the design. I also made plane reservations to attend my nephew's Master degree celebration ceremony, ordered some crystals & prepared a large order for more crystals. I went square dancing tonight & had a great time.
02/17/2019. My friend came over & we had a nice walk. It was the first day in weeks we've been able to walk due to the rain. We came across these lovely flowers. I shopped at TJ's & went to round dancing. The husband made a tofu & beans scramble, so yummy!

02/13/2019. We had a gonzo storm today ⛈ with very high winds & lots of rain. Coming from years of drought, the rain is most welcome. I worked on taxes today, & scanned & sent off a document for my project.
02/12/2019. We visited the attorney today. Afterwards, The husband & I pruned back the Blue Plumbago plants that were invading the space for my roses. I have two more rose bushes 🌹 left to prune. I also shopped at CVS pharmacy & Safeway to find a special Valentine's Day💕💕💕 card for the husband. Mission accomplished 👍!

02/10/2019. The husband & I had a short walk today. It is VERY cold. I shopped at TJ's, rested, went to Round Dancing, stopped at Costco in Sunnyvale for gas ⛽ & cleaned up e-mails. I also put away a few cardboard boxes in the back garages. I watched part of the Grammy's. Alicia Keyes is amazing.
02/09/2019. I also washed clothes. Our friend is still staying over. He & the husband went to the book sale this morning. They had lunch at Oba's, downtown. I watered all my indoor plants, washed clothes, worked on books & our latest CC statement, & settled books among the ranch accounts.
02/08/2019. Our friend came today. He, the husband, and another friend went to the book sale this evening. They all got some purchases about which they are very pleased. I continue to search for baskets for our console table.
02/07/2019. The husband & I had a lovely walk this morning. We spent the time in silence, & I prayed. I gathered some additional data for the project for which I was collecting data & now the project f is back on. Our CPA moved up our tax appointment. I re arranged the appointment with the home organizer & with Terminix to accommodate this. I searched again for baskets for our console table. Nothing so far 😟.
02/06/2019. The person replacing the glass in my windshield came today. He was the windshield could not have been fixed using glass glue only because the hole was way too big. It had also started to "spider" out from where the rock hit.
He did an awesome job.
The husband & I also pruned the pluot tree & shopped at Costco. Our crabapple tree is in bloom!
I searched for baskets today for our console table, but I'm still unable to locate any. I napped. 02/05/2019. The project for which I was collecting data was cancelled. We are disappointed. I spent some time looking at reviews for landscapers & I decided I did not want to use the one recommended to me.
02/04/2019. The sister left today before the downpour started & arrived home safely. I rested all afternoon, attended square dance class tonight, & updated the FF web site for March.
02/03/2019. My sister helped me look through my project list and place some priorities on it. Today we sorted photos 🖼 again. We had a nice break when my spiritual mentor came to visit us. We got the boxes down to three boxes. I went round dancing in early evening. Afterwards, my sister & I made a list of what we had learned in going through these pictures: Mom had a lot of parties, Mom & Dad had a great life, my sister was skinny & pretty, I was pretty .........etc. This was a lot of fun.
02/02/2019. My sister & I started through my Mom's four boxes of photo albums. She had a goal to winnow the boxes down to 2 boxes so we worked for many hours on this project. We primarily removed the photos 🖼 & negatives from their envelopes, quickly looked through photos and discarded ones that were definite throw aways. We ordered out from Chef Chus. After dinner, we worked some more. I told my sister that "I'm not a well person" and we laughed.
02/01/2019. Our wonderful cleaners came today as did my sister. I also updated the FF website .... a number of our bands cancelled due to rain. My sister & I managed to sort through 1 box our of 4. I also watered most of my indoor plants, had a nice nap, and washed a load of clothes. Finally I cleaned up a few days of e-mail.
01/31/2019. A home organizer visited today. I like her a lot, she is very business like & no nonsense & that is exactly what I need. I'm terrified by the process of course because I do not like discarding things 😱😨😧, but it must be done. The crafts room & my office are pretty awful. I also had a nap. I searched for some baskets for our shoes. Very late in the evening, I updated the FF web site.
01/30/2019. I made a few business phone calls that I had been putting off. One went well, the other, with Comcast, did not. I worked in the garden doing major cutback of the Blue Plumbago because they were obscuring three of the roses that needed trimming. So far, I trimmed two of the rose bushes.
01/29/2019. I prepared more data for my data collection project. We had a meeting today with an attorney that went well & then stopped at Costco for gas. The husband made tofu potatoes & spinach, my favorite. They were wonderful.
01/28/2019. I prepared 4 CD's for my data collection project & scheduled a home organizer. I also investigated updating one of my software programs that will expire soon. I square danced this evening, prepared more data for our meeting tomorrow, and updated FF.
01/27/2019. I finished watering all my indoor plants. My wonderful spiritual mentor visited & we had a wonderful walk. I also watered all my outdoor plants & trimmed most of the rose bushes. The husband made another bean, tofu, & spinach scramble & I was his sous chef. As always, it was delicious 😋😋😋.

01/22/2019. I sprayed water on several of the cyclamen that I transplanted. They are looking a bit droopy. Off to Stanford again today to collect more data relating to my project. I also did some banking. This evening I joined my friends for a discussion of "The Green Book' at a Christian church. The discussion was very lively & interesting because the minister led the group from a Christ based viewpoint. At several points during the discussion he broke us into smaller groups for discussions.
01/21/2019. I finished the final part of updating my financial records & filing for the past month. I'm now all caught up! The husband & I saw this cute little guy hanging off our screen!

I saw a great movie, "The Green Book" with friends. We also took a pretty good picture of the blood moon last night considering it was raining & we had to run out every 15 minutes to try to see it!
01/19/2019. I took myself for a lovely walk around the neighborhood in the early evening. The moon was just starting to come out & was beautiful. I found these beautiful roses growing in gardens along my walk & got to pet 3 doggies 🐶🐶🐶. I continued to work on paperwork.

01/15/2019. Happy one year anniversary of the day I returned from Physical Therapy & my rod twisted. The husband & I had lunch from "in N Out Burger". Their french fried are delicious 🍟😋! There is always a long line to get to their drive-in window.
01/14/2019. Today I had four appointments: go to 2 medical hospitals to request records, meet with our advisors, and square dancing. While at one of the hospitals, I saw this dove, perched 3 stories above the ground, just calmly watching me. I wondered if there was a message?
Before I even got to square dancing 💃🕺, I had climbed 7 flights of steps. It was great to be back to see everyone & dance. I did just fine, but this is beginner's class 😂.

01/12/2019. Today I watered all my inside plants & did a deep clean of our dishwasher tray. I also wrote to a vendor about my shower mat that has fallen apart. This is the beautiful orchid my sister gave me. This is the 3rd time it has bloomed 💐. It's a gift that keeps on giving!

01/09/2019. One of our two cat sitters came over today to collect the check. He is such a great person & I enjoyed visiting with him. I also went back to Wal-mart to return things I bought on Monday. I was horrified to discover that the items I returned couldn't be put back on the shelf because they were food items (sealed salad dressing), vitamins, and cough drops. I really dislike wasting things.
I ran into a fellow "Silver Sneakers" participant at Wal-mart & we had a great chat. His wife broke her femur a few months ago & she is recovering very well.

01/08/2019. I talked to 3 attorneys regarding a medical malpractice lawsuit. One was kind enough to send me a sample extension letter. I Faxed this & e-mailed it. I also scanned in some other documents & pictures that needed doing. I couldn't get the upstairs printer to work properly, so I uninstalled & reinstalled the software (3 times) until I got it to operate to my satisfaction. That took several hours.
I also created the medical malpractice timeline for my potential lawsuit. Here is the hard working husband raking up leaves. I was looking at this & thinking about how much I love him 💕💕💕.
01/07/2019. Welcome to Monday! I shopped at Wal-mart & Whole Foods. I shop at Wal-mart once a month to pick up 2 jars of decaf coffee. As usual, I bought some items that I already had in stock so I will be returning these.
I had a nice nap too! I succeeded in getting my 2 miles in today (easily)! I also updated my financial records.
01/06/2019. My friend and I went to the movies. She wanted to see "The Favourite" for a class discussion group & I decided that it was not for me so I saw "Aquaman". This theater has nine movies playing simultaneously. I liked Aquaman. In this theater, when loud sounds occurred, the seats literally rattled! It rained heavily today.
01/05/2019. An unproductive day. I'm in post-holiday letdown mode, ie, the party's over for another year! 🎄🎉🎊🎆 I shopped @ Joann's & TJ's today, & that's about it. I'm following the pattern of being active about every other day! It rained heavily today.
01/04/2019. This was a busy day ... I went through a large stack of papers & recycled most of them, watered all the inside plants, & prepared for the cleaners. The house looks great! Then with the help of our neighbor, we put the Treekeeper Pro on my existing Christmas tree stand. This required 3 people: one to crawl under the tree & loosen the 4 bolts (me), & two others to lift the tree up, while I placed the Treekeeper over the stand. Then the two helpers lowered the tree back onto the stand & I tightened the bolts again. We zipped it up, & wheeled the Christmas 🎄 tree out to the garage : EZPZ! I'd been looking at this product for years & finally ordered it for $119! So far it's great! Previously, I had used plastic. The thin plastic quickly disintegrated, & the thicker package was difficult to wrap. This is a great solution!

01/03/2019. The husband & I shopped at Costco. I also walked with my great neighbor for a total of 3 miles today 🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♂️. I did a very minor update to the FF web site. However, my leg started hurting so I climbed into bed early & took some Tylenol!
01/02/2019 Welcome to 2019! I updated my goals list today & actually started on some of the list. I also updated the FF website, watered some inside & outside plants, & washed clothes. The sister & brother-in-law safely returned from the trip to the destination wedding in Cabo! They are happy to be home & had a great time at the 4 day event: many parties, dinners, & one nice long walk on the beach.
01/01/2019 The husband & I walked downtown. We didn't get our 2 miles in, but it was better than nothing. I got a delicious dutch crunch roll at Le Boulanger.
12/31/2018. I backed up my iphone in preparation for the battery replacement & the husband & I brought it in. Then we treated ourselves to lunch at Pluto's. I had the large salad, where I got to choose 7 ingredients plus focaccia bread. The husband had mac & cheese & some delicious vegetables. Afterwards, we walked around Palo Alto, while waiting for the phone to be ready. The iphone was ready in an hour, as they said, with a brand new battery installed. The apple store is amazing. It has a beautiful ambiance, with two living fern walls, the ceiling is all glass, and there are 6 huge ficus trees inside. To amuse the customers there's a ginormous wall size display probably 30' w x 10' h. Today it was displaying instructions on using a tool similar to Adobe Photoshop.
Afterwards, we walked around Palo Alto, while waiting for the phone to be ready. The iphone was ready in an hour, as they said, with a brand new battery installed. The Apple store is amazing. It has a beautiful ambiance, with two living fern walls, the ceiling is all glass, and there are six large ficus trees inside. There are no cash registers anywhere. They take your payment from their Mac devices.
We talked to the security folks standing outside. This Apple store has been victimized by smash & grab gangs. The last heist occurred when the perpetrators rammed their car into the front of the store (all glass). Now they have concrete barriers on the sidewalk to prevent that. The husband & I both felt that there are easier ways to make a living 🤣!
Our 2nd errand was to run over to our financial folks & sign some papers.
I came home & had a lovely nap!
12/30/2018. I watered all indoor & outdoor plants. My spiritual mentor came over & we had a great walk. She loved the "buddhas hands" & asked that I take pictures for her.

Then the husband & I visited the Apple store in downtown Palo Alto to look at various products. I also made an appointment to get the battery in my iphone replaced tomorrow. We walked around town a bit & I enjoyed the holiday displays. This tree is so beautiful!
Finally I ordered the a product for the husband & went to bed early! I figured out that I do a lot of activities every other day, so one day on & the next day not so much!
12/29/2018. I slept in really late & was not very productive. I worked on changing the background for this blog & as a result ran into some problems. That took a while to research & repair. I also updated the FF web site.
12/28/2018. The husband & I shopped at Costco today. Later, I shopped at Joann's, Kohl's, and Whole Foods. I found what I wanted at Joann's, but not on sale. I bought some Christmas gift wrap at Kohl's, 70% off! I finished the end of the year donations and washed a load of clothes. I walked over 2 miles today. I repaired my friends bracelet for the 2nd time, & this time I'm confident it will hold. I used a drop of glue on the jump ring joints. I finished the year end charity contributions 🎁 & washed another load of clothes 👚👕👖.
12/27/2018. The husband & I deposited a check & shopped at TJ's. I paid all my insurance payments, & rested. I unpacked everything & washed a load of clothes 👚👕👖🧦. I also paid all the property tax bills.
12/26/2018. We ate breakfast at the hotel & visited my sister, niece, the great niece & nephew, the doggy nephew, and the two guinea pig nephews. The guinea pigs are a new addition & they are really cute, Smokey & Snickers. They make tiny little squeaks. We also went over to my sister's house to say goodbye to everyone there. My sister gave me a dozen delicious bran muffins 😋 for my Christmas present The ride home was long, 3 hours & 15 minutes. Even though we left early, we encountered lots of traffic 🚗🚚🚛. My windshield was also hit by a rock & there is a fairly large crack in the windshield right under the windshield wiper. I may be able to get it repaired rather than replaced.
When we got home, we went for a short walk with our neighbor. I also had a nap.
I had an absolutely wonderful Christmas; it was everything I hoped for and more. I missed last Christmas because I was still recovering from my shattered femur.
12/25/2018. We had a small breakfast at the hotel & then headed over to my nieces for the real breakfast & the gift opening. It is great to see the kids open their gifts excitedly. Afterwards we all fell into a "Christmas stupor. The husband & I went back to the hotel & had a lovely nap. In the evening, we returned to my nieces house for a wonderful home-cooked meal.
12/24/2018. Christmas eve! We had a great breakfast at the hotel. We went over to the local Best Buy to purchase some headphones for my ipad so I wouldn't disturb the husband. Then we rested. The big Christmas eve party was at my sister's house in the evening & we arrived in early afternoon. There were 18 of us there! She served ham, pasta, fruit salad, orange salad, green salad, bread, a vegetable & dip tray & many home-made cookies & brownies. I had four pieces of candy. We also held our annual White Elephant 🐘 gift 🎁 exchange & it was the usual ruckus event with various teams combining against each other. It is a highly competitive event. Afterwards, she served berry & apple pie, Sees candy, and more home-made sugar cookies.
12/23/2018. I got up early & finished packing & getting ready. We left for my sister's house at 12:30 pm & the ride went very smoothly. We managed to change our route to avoid big traffic jams. We checked into our hotel, and met the family for dinner at a great local pizza place, Steve's Pizza. They had great bread & a wonderful salad bar. We then went over to my sister's to drop off the box of presents, visited for a bit, & came back to the hotel.
12/22/2018. I wrote the instructions & sent them over to our two cat sitters. I wrapped all the presents we are going to take with us. I worked on the holiday greeting card again & sent it out.
12/21/2018. Our cleaners came today & I watered all my indoor & outdoor plants. I found a origami book downtown & I sent the husband to get it. He decided he wanted to make origami cranes at the hotel. The husband & I worked on the holiday greeting card again. I also updated the FF web site.
12/20/2018. I interviewed our new cat sitter. He will be great! Also had my hair done at my fabulous hairdressers 💇💈. My cat sitter's grandmother (& my friend) was there! It was great to see her & visit. I worked on our holiday greeting card. We talked to the husband's sister & she told the husband about all the origami cranes she was making. The husband decided he wanted to make them too!
12/19/2018. I visited the Terraces & distributed Sees candy & hugs. It was wonderful to see everyone. Several of the folks from OT were in & several of the folks from skilled nursing too!
We had our appointment with our advisors & it was very helpful. I also walked in the afternoon. This is a fascinating bush, growing in our neighbor's yard. The fruit is called "buddha's hand" and it smells like citrus. It is in fact a member of the citrus family.
In the evening we saw a remnants of a meteor show from our upstairs window! The husband & I took our holiday picture & spent a long time editing it. I also prepared the cat care 😻😻😻 instructions for our two cat sitters.

2/18/2018 I shopped at Sees candy again to buy a lovely box of Truffles for a gift. My neighbor & I had a late afternoon walk. Saw these great Christmas decorations!
2/17/2018. Today was busy. Shopped @ Costco to get more Sees candy gift cards. Shopped @ Sees candy twice to get 4 custom 1 lb boxes of candy & 30 lollipops. I made a beautiful Swarovski heart to my friend's 60th wedding anniversary 💞 💏🤵👰 & dropped it off to them along with one of the boxes of Sees candy 🍫🍫🍫. I napped too!

12/16/2018. I slept in again today. My spiritual mentor visited, then I shopped at TJ's, walked over to a neighbors to look at some stepping stones they were discarding, & also washed clothes. I'm on schedule with my "Countdown to Christmas" 🎄👍 list.
12/15/2018. I slept in today. In the afternoon, the husband & I attended his cousin's latke party at her husband's daughter's house. It was wonderful. We were the only folks outside of immediate family that were invited. The husband's cousin cooked; she is a gourmet cook so everything was delicious, including homemade applesauce! They exchanged gifts🎄🎁 & I was very thankful that we brought each one something, although we were not aware that everyone was exchanging gifts! The daughter & son-in-law have a lovely 3 year old son 🧒🏼 , one dog 🐶 , & 2 kitties 🐱🐱 , so of course, I had a great time!
12/14/2018. Today is the Il Divo 🎼🎤🎵🎶 concert. I met my friend & her friend at 3:00 pm at Chef Chus for dinner. We then went to her home where I spent time playing with her wonderful 3 pups 🐶🐕🐩. We then went to the Il Divo concert & it was fabulous! They are extremely talented & have been together for 15 years, originally put together by Simon Cowell. They were kind & gracious, and made me as an attendee feel that they were so happy and thankful to have me in the audience. I got home at 12:30 am! Here are the songs in their setlist:

12/13/2018. I went to PT. 12/13/2018. I went to PT. I hadn't done any of my exercises since I was there last September, except for the every other day walks. However, my flexibility has improved. Kristin stressed to me the importance of doing my exercises to add stability for when I dance. The husband & I shopped at Costco & I did get my 2 miles in today 🚶♀️🚶♀️. I prepared stars & snowflake pendant gifts ready for nine people. That involves putting a jump ring, ribbon, and label on each one & placing each one in a satin drawstring pouch.
Today, I'm all caught up on the "Countdown to Christmas" to do list!
12/12/2018 I was very unproductive today & certainly didn't accomplish all the things on today's to do list. I did make it over to Joann's and picked up a few items. I also studied the blood results & was surprised at how good they look. They seem to all have changed in a positive way, & I don't know why.
12/11/2018. I created my daily "to-do" list "Countdown to Christmas". I also had quarterly blood tests at Stanford & a nice walk with our neighbor. Stanford has a beautiful campus.
I succeeded in logging my 2 miles today (actually 2.5)! About 7 pm I got a call from a Stanford doctor. The lab had notified her that my blood glucose level was 48! She wondered how I was feeling. I assured her that I was very well, not light-headed or shaky. She believes it was an anomoly. I concur.
12/10/2018 The husband & I attended our year end financial planning meeting today. Bad news: under the new tax law our taxes will increase considerably 😲😧💸. Well that is upsetting. I took care of the two actions he gave me, napped, & watched a few recorded TV shows.
12/09/2018 My lovely friend and spiritual mentor visited today. Her & my neighbor had a 2 mile walk. The weather is beyond fabulous. We hiked a new local route today & discovered these very interesting blooms. Notice the bee on the left.
I had a nap & worked on year end taxes in preparation for our appointment tomorrow.
12/08/2018 I shopped at TJ's. I attended our friend's annual cookie party & I had a wonderful time. I visited with many long-time friends there. When I came home, I was pretty tired.
12/07/2018 Our wonderful cleaners came today. I watered all my inside plants, paid bills, watered all my inside plants, & worked on year-end finances & filing.
12/06/2018 I had a nice walk today with some of my neighbors, worked on both year-end finances & filing, & updated the FF website.
12/05/2018 I had a wonderful lunch at Chef Chus 😋😋😋 with a lovely, long-time friend🥰. We caught up on everything & the meal was delicious . Took care of some banking, had a brief walk with the husband, updated my Swarovski inventory & items given, worked on year-end finances & filing. I also updated the FF website.
12/04/2018. Today I didn't feel very well. My chest is tight & I certainly hope I'm not catching another cold. I updated the FF sliders with new pictures & worked on year-end financial matters. I also helped the husband de-scale the coffee maker. The hardest part of that process was finding the instructions 🤣🤣🤣!
Our wonderful pet sitter & friend is over-booked & can only visit Annie LuLu once daily. I've reached out to another sitter but they are booked too. That is worrisome.

One of the phalaenopsis that my sister gifted me is blooming again for the 3rd time! The first bloom opened today.
I checked on all the outdoor plants & had my hair done by my wonderful hairdresser. It is so relaxing for me to be there. She also deep conditioned my hair so it is very soft. Afterwards, I did some banking & shopped at TJ's. The husband & I (mostly the husband) made my favorite dish hash browns with tofu & spinach 😋😋😋!
In the evening, I washed a load of clothes 👖👕🧦.
Today I felt good & had some energy ⚡⚡⚡
12/02/2018. I modified this adorable angel I found on-line & created our 2019 gift tag.
My wonderful friend & spiritual mentor visited & we had another amazing walk. I gifted her a Swarovski star pendant. It is for her tree & later for use as a pendant.The star has special meaning for her: "good friends are like stars, you don't always see them but you know they are there".🌟🌟🌟🌟🥰🥰🥰🥰 In the evening I watered all my inside plants.I also worked on year-end financial matters, paid some bills, & updated the FF web site.
